Separate buses for scooters?

Having just returned from our magical vacation, DH and I were discussing alternatives to the scooter loading and unloading on the buses. Have they ever considered special buses? Some cities have buses that are specific to wheelchairs and ECVs. The bus drivers seem so tired to have to do this at every stop.
