Sensing Pixie Dust I Am! A Star Wars Weekend PTR! New PTR Link pg. 77!

I hope you can at least enjoy not having to get up and get out the door first thing. That in itself is so nice.

Are you going to have some nice, warm weather this week? I haven't looked at the forecast past today (we're supposed to have severe storms), but maybe you'll have some good weather to enjoy during your running around.

Good job on your Disney reference. :thumbsup2

I think we have eight weeks left. I sure do look forward to June! :cool2:

Oh, yes, that is definitely nice. Normally by this time I have been at school for almost fifteen minutes. Today, I am still sitting here in my pajamas and drinking coffee. :thumbsup2

We are supposed to have those severe storms this evening and tonight. After that, I think it is supposed to be warm and sunny. That will be nice.

I did a little happy dance when I saw it. Plus, Berry College doesn't know about my little "obsession," so the person reading my goal statement won't roll his/her eyes.

::yes::

Oh, yes, get The Game of Things for your beach trip! It is so fun with a big group -- there were times we were crying we were laughing so hard.

I'm going to have to look into that

he once said, "There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island"

I LOVE that!!!

Wow! I had no idea about all the Yellowstone/Grand Teton stuff. I remember going there with my parents when I was much, much younger. The one memory that sticks out the most is standing and waiting for Old Faithful to erupt. It seemed like we waited forever! LOL!

It is so true, we did the great GC road trip in 08 and booked a number of things 6 months out.

30 school days sounds very manageable to me!

You spring break sounds like our mid winter and spring break...at least from the E's perspective. It will feel good to get all of that done.

JEALOUS.......................;)

I love PJ mornings!!!

Too cool that quote really a nice one! You know when we were in Edinburgh we saw the actual "Island" of Treasure Island inspiration! The author, Robert Lewis Stevenson, use to go to their "garden" -- a large park, really, lock and key garden/park for the neighborhood residents, and that is how he started the story! The inspiration is seen through the trees in the middle of this little lake/rather large pond... can't actually get to it, but it is there! As is Peter Pan, from Barrie... there is a statue in another garden commemorating Peter :).

"Educational Goal Statement" SO official!! :teacher: Good for you!

I agree spring break can be great, actually for all those tasks we never have time for!! I need a break like that! I enjoy traveling on break, but it is sometimes stressful where there is other stuff I could be doing. I think it will be nice to have items crossed off the To DO list!!! :thumbsup2

I would love to visit Savanna & Charleston. We take a lot of historical site trips & love old houses. Williamsburg is one of our favorites, do need to see Savanna soon.:lovestruc

Don't be put off when you drive up to it. It looks like a strong wind could blow it over. :lmao:

Even better!

Drive over super early from Hilton Head (I think it is like an hour and a half drive) and be at Boone Hall Plantation when it opens. Then, I would head into downtown, eat lunch at Hyman's Seafood, take a horse-drawn carriage tour around the historic district -- the best way to see the city -- there are several tour companies but Old South Carriage Company is right by the market, browse through the City Market (make sure you stop and watch the women weaving sweetgrass baskets), and end the day with desserts at Kaminsky's.

There is also a boat tour to Fort Sumter, but I would do Boone Hall over that.

Thanks Jackie - This advice is wonderful since we don't have a lot of time to spend there. I actually wish we could spend a night there and leave a day early to drive down. That we could stop on the way down. I will have to discuss that with my friends since HH is a 12 hr drive from here.

It sounds like the perfect way to spend the day!

I hope everything worked out OK with Chelsea at the Dr. today.

I love the Disney quote. It will fit perfectly into your paper.

This is a weather channel night.

Hope the weather isn't too bad and all went well today!!!

I'd love a trip to Savannah, Hilton Head and/or Charleston. Now I know who to ask for advice when it's time!!

Yes, I do like checking off all this stuff that I have been putting off during soccer season because there just wasn't enough time.

Chelsea and Connor are less than pleased, though. I should probably let them have a couple of friends over to spend the night and plan on doing something fun as a family...just have to decide what that might be...

I guess it would be mean of me to mention that I am having another one this morning. Not really since I have to be at the car place by 8:00. ;)

Neat!!! I would love to see all of that sometime! I have always loved the classic children's books. :lovestruc

:lmao: Berry College's name for it, not mine. That will be the fun tomorrow morning. :sad2:

I have a feeling I am going to wish we had traveled by the end of the week. I much prefer fleeing town than sitting in doctors' offices. Oh well. It had to be done, I suppose.

You would love the Lowcountry. There is no place quite as lovely in my opinion.

You're welcome, Mary Ellen! You know I could inundate you with tons of other things to do if you want. :rotfl:

Thanks! Actually, it was a bit stressful...we had xrays done on Chelsea's back and there is a twenty degree curve. She will be headed to an orthopedic doctor in about three weeks. Also, her knees have been really bothering her lately, so they did an x-ray of them and took blood work to rule out rheumatoid arthritis. We'll have to wait on the blood work results for that, but the doctor did discover that one of Chelsea's legs is longer than the other. :confused3 The orthopedic doctor will be looking into that as well. The poor girl was in tears yesterday from everything. :( The good news, though, is that neither child had any cavities.

Yes, it was. Luckily the worst stuff went south of us -- I was worried for a little while when they were saying there was a lot of damage in the town right down the street from us. Hope it went south of you as well. :goodvibes

Oh, yes, I will fill your ears on everything you ever needed/wanted to know about that area, Sheree.

Poor girl. Has her back been bothering her a lot?
Hope the leg pains are just growing pains and not arthritis.

Yay for zero cavities! :dance3:

Aw poor Chelsea! Hopefully the tests will reveal that it is not rheumatoid arthritis. Yay for no cavities.;)

Awww poor Chelsea. That is a lot to take in. I hope everything turns out fine.

Yay for no cavitiies! :yay:

My thoughts and prayers are with Chelsea that all works out with the blood work and the next Dr. My DH had several players that had Osgood Slatler Disease, especially when he coached middle school. Which basically they grew faster that their knees. It is planful at the time, but eventually their knees caught up with the rest of their body.

Poor girl, that doesn't sound like fun day at all! Praying that everything turns out well for her

My oldest has this, and yes, it is hurtful not harmful. When it bothers him we do alot of ice packs and he takes advil which helps quite a bit. He also wears a soft brace when it's hurting, that helps as well. Doctor told him it probably wouldn't go away until he was done growing, and he'll probably have knobby knees when he gets old because of it, he was thrilled about that

Oh, poor Chelsea! Poor you, too, having to watch her go through that. I also hope that it's growing pains and not arthritis.

I hope you get to have some kind of relaxation during your break. When you're done with all the un-fun stuff, you should reward yourself with the new Kingdom Keepers book. ;) Good luck with everything!

Poor Chelsea  I hope it's only growing pains.

I'm glad there was a bright side at least, hurray for no cavities!

Hi Jackie. I've been gone for far too long, with lots of real life things going on. If you have read my FB, you know why. But this stuff is also the reason we probably will have to cancel our October trip. So I know exactly the way you are feeling. It stinks to be an adult and pay for "responsible" things. How fun would it be to run into some extra cash and just go to Disney with it? I'm glad you have a backup plan though. The cottage sounds super cute. Going over to FB now to check it out! :)

I hate to hear about Chelsea's back problems. Hopefully she will get through this without too many worries.

It took several blood tests over a period of a couple of years before my RA was finally diagnosed. I'm doing ok as I'm in remission now.

Poor Chelsea!!! Saying some prayers for you and her! ;) Hopefully all will turn out okay! Hoping you are enjoying your BREAK!!!! Summer can't get here soon enough my dear!

Sorry Chelsea had such a bad day yesterday and praying that everything will be fine.
