Yes - throw it all out there. Anything you can think of. If we decide to drive down Saturday and spend the night there, any suggestions where to stay?
Depends on how much you want to spend...if you want to stay over the bridge from downtown, the Shem Creek Inn is pretty reasonable.
Any suggestions for Savannah would be appreciated, too.
I am quite as big an expert on Savannah -- the only things we have ever really done down there are the Juliette Gordon Low house and River Street. Have you read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil? I know there is a lot of stuff geared around the places in the book. Of course there is also The Lady and Sons and Mrs. Wilkes restaurant.
I just read above about Chelsea. Poor thing. I hope she is OK and just feeling the effects of growing pains. Let us know how everything turns out.
The doctor did call and say there were no signs of RA in her blood work. That's a relief.
OH - and I am going to look for the AK mug for you while we are down their in May. I hope I find it! Cross your fingers, because I remember exactly where I got it!
Oh, thank you!!! I just love it!
Oh, he meant for all four of us to go -- he wasn't offering to send me by myself. LOL!
Clay had an empty Cafe Dumonde (sp?) coffee can that I appropriated for the vacation fund. I'm putting all my change...and his!

...in the can and whenever I go to the store and see that I saved X amount of money I'm putting the amount I saved in the can. I've got close to $60 in less than a week! I'm pretty sure we're not going anywhere on vacation this year but we should have a nice bit of cash by the time our next vacation rolls around.
Sixty dollars in less than a week is awesome! We have an empty Cafe du Monde can, too -- we keep pens and pencils in it.
You are a much stronger woman than I Jackie!! If Don tempted me with this I'd run and pack the suitcases in record time before he could change is mind (this would be after I picked myself up off the floor, of course

)
Oh, it was tough to say no. I told Charles I felt like a drug addict at the prospect of a fix. My palms were all sweaty and my heart was racing at the mere thought of going to Disney for a few days.
I put my one dollar a week in the school 'pot'.

If it was meant to be, it was meant to be, and I can justify the one dollar.

We have a teacher that spends several hundred a month, though, and there is no kind of way I would do that!
There is no way I could spend that much either! Several hundred a month would go a long way towards a Disney trip!
In a million years, I could not have that much willpower.
It was a struggle, let me tell you!
What about a trip to Gatlinburg/Dollywood? Would that be closer and cheaper and still be something fun? Seems like you do need something.
Nah, I would want Florida. I think I can last until the end of next month to take a trip. Hopefully...
Me, too. Picture me as a cartoon.
At
DIS, I'd be the streak out the door,
and by the time they said
NEY,
I'd be standing there with a suitcase and plane ticket.

I just read about Chelsea, poor dear. I hope she just has growing pains too and everything works itself out. She's too young for this much stress.
I agree! The doctor did call with her blood work results -- no signs of RA which is good.
You have way more willpower than I do. If Dennis said go, I would go. My niece was here Monday afternoon asking when we're going next, she has never been and wants to go. We're still taking about New Years but no reservations have been made so to me it's not real.
I am hoping for a quick New Year's trip, too!
I hope your able to enjoy the rest of your Spring Break.
Thanks! Hard to believe it is almost over. Today we are headed out to find a dress for Chelsea's semi-formal dance.
If my Dh told me to go I would be gone, but that ain't going to happen.
I wish that my DH would turn to the darkside also. He likes WDW when he's there, but would probably not go again. He's more into Vegas which is some where I don't care for.
My SIL just got back from a birthday trip to Vegas. It looked like a lot of fun, but I will stick with Disney.
You got that right!

I would be the same way!!
I was almost halfway to the door...
I am SO impressed woman!! I would have had my shoes on and bags packed within seconds of that coming out of Charles' mouth.....and on my way to MICKEY'S HOUSE!!!!! Wow, you are REALLY being an adult! Wouldn't it be nice to be not so responsible some time!
Yes, it would be nice to be irresponsible sometimes, but I knew I would regret it.
Add me to the streakers ( not that kind) streaking out the door at teh mention of DIS.
