Sensing Pixie Dust I Am! A Star Wars Weekend PTR! New PTR Link pg. 77!

DisneylandJungleCruisePoster.jpg

That's a great print - it looks like you planned his room around that picture! Perfect :thumbsup2

I really am planning on closing this PTR soon, but I wanted to share a few last things with you all.

I am voting NAY on this.
Or at the very least, we should get a New Year's Eve pre-trip started as a consolation prize. ::yes::

We need to come to your place on a regular basis to:

a)keep up with Connor and Chelsea (They're our DIS kids, too. Don't be so selfish!)
b)see all the good treats you and Chelsea bake (How'd those white chocolate macadamia cookies come out?)
c)join in on your beach vacation (You can't go anywhere without your DIS peeps tagging along!)
d)watch your plans evolve for the December trip (You don't have to know that much right now.)
e)all of the above (I think I have my answer. :thumbsup2)

Anyone else agree with me? :)

WOW!!! First of all I'm with the rest of the gang, Prince P said go I would go...oh wait I have already done that LOL!! Last May right before our move I was really stressed and he told me to go and I didn't think twice!! So you have WAY more willpower than I do and of course you are doing the fiscally responsible thing LOL!!!

I will be saying lots of prayers and sending lots of pixie dust yoru way regarding Chelsea...hopefully it will just be minor fixes and she'll get to feeling better ASAP!!!!!

Love Connor's room, those vintage posters are AMAZING!! What great deals Jackie!! LOVE IT!!!

I also agree with MeMom...no closing this PTR, we must know what is going on with the CP clan!!!!

I agree! Maybe you could do a combined beach/NYE PTR?

Love the Disney pictures! What a great deal! :thumbsup2

Cute beach bag and a great beach reading selection.

Good luck at the orthodontist today and with getting that dress!

You have cute taste Jackie! I love the color scheme in Connor's room. Dimitri and Michael share a room and we really need to do something with it as they have grown out of what's in there now. It has the dreaded wallpaper! Ugh! Something I have no desire to battle to remove. But it must be done I guess. Where did you find his comforter and rug? The posters will go very well I think!

Have fun shopping with Chelsea! Finding an appropriate dress is sort of in the same category as finding an appropriate swimsuit. Good luck! ;)

I think you might be outnumbered here, Jackie, on closing this PTR! I'm also with MeMom and my answer is also "E" :)

I'm sorry to hear about Chelsea's growing pains but glad it's not RA. I actually thought "growing pains" was just a figure of speech about the teen years until my son started having them last year. He had shooting pains down his legs and I was shocked that his doctor said it was just growing pains. Then my ex told me he had them with each growth spurt too. I had no idea that was a real thing and I hope that's all it is with Chelsea too. I hope everything goes well with the orthopedist.

As far as Connor's room, I LOVE the color scheme and think all of those pictures will go nicely! I especially like the concept art piece, but is he going to go for the pink leaves? You know boys! :lmao: But I think it's gorgeous and the orange and green in it will definitely go with his color scheme! Great finds! :thumbsup2

I love, love, love the prints you got for Connor's room! Heck, I'd like them in my room

I'm going to have to check out the PB beach bags, I'm pretty sure I need a new one before the cruise :thumbsup2

So glad to hear that there were no signs of RA in Chelsea's bloodwork! Have fun shopping today. I had to take Justin shopping for an outfit to wear to his basketball banquet Saturday night, let's just say shopping with boys is not nearly as fun as shopping with girls. He wanted to buy the first thing we looked at, get it, let's go....

Okay that Disneyland poster is SO coool! And I love all the retro art! VERY NICE!

I won't say anymore about going to Disney in the blink of an eye... ;)

Hope everything gets sorted out for Chelsea!

You really have had a busy break!

Ours is the week after next, and is REALLY late this year. Kids, teachers, everyone is climbing the walls!!!!

Great reading materials! Like the selection! have you ever read the Zookeeper's Wife? I bet you'd like that. Check it out on Amazon and see if it is your type or read. It is a neat story basically crafted from original documents/letters during WWII... I couldn't put it down. :thumbsup2

love love love the poster! I wonder if I can convince Jeff it goes with his vintage pan am travel posters I just redid our family room with. :rotfl:

You can't close this ptr. It's allowed to evolve so I vote E as well!

Ok, between you and Happydog I've just sent 3 sample chapters to my kindle, thank you both, I needed some Hawaii reads!

In return, if you've not read Beside a Burning Sea (John Shors) I highly recommend it, as well as The Wishing Trees (also by John Shors).

:goodvibes

Those pictures are going to be great for Connor's room! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear Chelsea doesn't have RA... I hope she feels better soon.

I'm so glad that Chelsea's bloodwork showed no sign of RA. I love her new dress, cool, but still modest.

That poster for Conner was great, I didn't know that posters like that were still available.

Put me in the camp that does not want this PTR to end.:lovestruc

So glad Chelsea's bloodwork came back negative for RA.:woohoo:

I so love your purchases! That map is going to be the neatest picture to just look at over and over.

I vote with Memom!:thumbsup2

Oooooh, those are some super cute finds, Jackie! I love the Disneyland print :thumbsup2

I think one of my favorite parts of going on vacation is finding new books to read. When Charles and I were in Boston today, we found a Borders that was going out of business, so everything was 60-70% off! I only ended up finding one book but it was $8 instead of $25. Charles ended up getting his brother a couple of Star Wars books for really cheap, too. We drove by another Borders going out of business when we were on our way to dinner, and it took all my willpower to not take that right turn to go browse. :rotfl:

Jackie I love the prints for Connors room. Great finds!!:thumbsup2

So glad to hear Chelsea does not have RA. That must be such a relief.

Love your new bag.:thumbsup2 Very Beachy!!

Ahhh, you know flattery works wonders with me! How can I resist the plea to include you on the retelling of all Chelsea and Connor's antics, baking adventures, and the trip to the beach? Well, I know I just can't resist. So, I guess I need to figure out how I want to structure/call the next PTR -- my OCD nature won't allow me to keep this Star Wars one going.

WOW!!! First of all I'm with the rest of the gang, Prince P said go I would go...oh wait I have already done that LOL!! Last May right before our move I was really stressed and he told me to go and I didn't think twice!! LOL! I just couldn't do it -- I knew I would be overcome with guilt.

I will be saying lots of prayers and sending lots of pixie dust yoru way regarding Chelsea...hopefully it will just be minor fixes and she'll get to feeling better ASAP!!!!!

Thank you! We are hoping for minor fixes, too.

Love Connor's room, those vintage posters are AMAZING!! What great deals Jackie!! LOVE IT!!!

I will have to show all the finished room when everything is framed and hanging up.

I also agree with MeMom...no closing this PTR, we must know what is going on with the CP clan!!!!

I think I will start a new one soon. :goodvibes

Cute beach bag and a great beach reading selection.

Good luck at the orthodontist today and with getting that dress!

Thanks! We were successful with our dress shopping. :thumbsup2

It has the dreaded wallpaper! Ugh! Something I have no desire to battle to remove. But it must be done I guess. Where did you find his comforter and rug? The posters will go very well I think!

Thanks! Connor had outgrown his room decor (it was Spiderman), and he had asked for something new. That was shocking in and of itself because he never comments on decor! We found everything at Target!

Have fun shopping with Chelsea! Finding an appropriate dress is sort of in the same category as finding an appropriate swimsuit. Good luck! ;)

We had a lot of fun! I was worried after our first stop that we wouldn't be able to find anything, but we did at our second stop.

I think you might be outnumbered here, Jackie, on closing this PTR! I'm also with MeMom and my answer is also "E" :)

I think I might be outnumbered, too. LOL!

I didn't know growing pains were real until Charles told me about his as a child.

You know boys! :lmao: But I think it's gorgeous and the orange and green in it will definitely go with his color scheme! Great finds! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I wondered about the pink in the concept art as well, but I showed it to Connor and he was fine with it. I think the fact that it was from the Imagineers helped.

I love, love, love the prints you got for Connor's room! Heck, I'd like them in my room

Thanks! I thought how good they would look in the sunroom, but I will be strong and put them in Connor's. LOL!

I'm going to have to check out the PB beach bags, I'm pretty sure I need a new one before the cruise :thumbsup2

There are some really cute designs. They are on sale this week with free shipping. :thumbsup2 There are some cute beach towels, too, but I resisted them. ;)

That would be Connor. LOL! I will post an update about the dress shopping since I know you can't see the dress picture over on FB. :rolleyes1

Okay that Disneyland poster is SO coool! And I love all the retro art! VERY NICE!

Thanks! I fell in love with both pieces when I found them a couple of days ago. It's a good thing they go with the colors in Connor's room -- I would have been tempted to get them both regardless.

I won't say anymore about going to Disney in the blink of an eye... ;)

LOL! I may have thought about how you during the entire episode.

Hope everything gets sorted out for Chelsea!

Thanks!

You really have had a busy break!

It has flown by, but I have almost everything crossed off the list. Today is the last thing -- a trip to Goodwill after Connor's friend who spent the night gets picked up.

Ours is the week after next, and is REALLY late this year. Kids, teachers, everyone is climbing the walls!!!!

That was definitely us last week! We were all in desperate need of a break!

Great reading materials! Like the selection! have you ever read the Zookeeper's Wife? I bet you'd like that. Check it out on Amazon and see if it is your type or read. It is a neat story basically crafted from original documents/letters during WWII... I couldn't put it down. :thumbsup2

Oh, I need to go look that one up! It sounds great!

love love love the poster! I wonder if I can convince Jeff it goes with his vintage pan am travel posters I just redid our family room with. :rotfl:

Thanks! It is from United Airlines! ;) In fact, art.com had quite a few retro-looking UA posters that were cute.

You can't close this ptr. It's allowed to evolve so I vote E as well!

I think you all have me convinced to keep going in some form. ;)

Ok, between you and Happydog I've just sent 3 sample chapters to my kindle, thank you both, I needed some Hawaii reads!

In return, if you've not read Beside a Burning Sea (John Shors) I highly recommend it, as well as The Wishing Trees (also by John Shors).

:goodvibes

Hope you enjoy them!!! I haven't read anything by John Shors -- I will definitely go check them out! Thanks!

Those pictures are going to be great for Connor's room! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear Chelsea doesn't have RA... I hope she feels better soon.

Thanks, Amy! I hope we are able to get some answers about her knees from the orthopedic doctor in a couple of weeks.

Thank you again for more wonderful low country suggestions!

Those posters are absolutely fabulous! What a great find!

So glad Chelsea does not have RA. Is it possible this is simply growing pains? When Nicholas was around that age he used to wake up at night with horrible pain in his one hip. It was terrible. During the day he was fine. I never took him to the doctor and it eventually went away. I hope her knee pain goes away as well.

8th grade dance dress? OMG! Watch out! When I went to both Nick's and Brian's 8th grade graduation I could not believe the dresses those girls wore. Denny's jaw dropped. Literallly! Good luck with that shopping expedition!

I'm so glad that Chelsea's bloodwork showed no sign of RA. I love her new dress, cool, but still modest.

Thank you! I was so happy that was her favorite dress -- it was mine, too!

That poster for Conner was great, I didn't know that posters like that were still available.

Art.com has great prints and posters.

I love that map and can't wait to get it framed. My mom gave it to me several years ago, and it has been just sitting and waiting...

I vote with Memom!:thumbsup2

I think MeMom has started quite the grassroots movement. LOL!

Oooooh, those are some super cute finds, Jackie! I love the Disneyland print :thumbsup2

Thanks, Meghan!

Love your new bag.:thumbsup2 Very Beachy!!

Thank you! As you can see, I have been doing a lot of online shopping this week. LOL!

Thank you again for more wonderful low country suggestions!

You're welcome!

I love them, too!

Oh, I know! Some of the things they wear to school on a regular basis are jaw-dropping! :sad2: We were very successful. I will post an update about it.
