I will be sailing on the Magic this fall and was interested in a couples massage. Is this something that an be booked at check in like an excursion? Do I pay immediately, or is charged to my card after it happens?

I also heard the Rainforest room is awesome but seems to be a lot smaller with less features than the ones on the newer ships. Is it still worth getting a pass?

I have the same question about the couples massage, but we are planning on taking a cruise in the dream. pirate:

Regardless of which DCL ship, you can certainly book a huge variety of spa treatments/services when you can do online check-in, including Couples Massage. And btw, if you are going to CC on your cruise, you can book a massage in one of the massage cabanas at Serenity Bay (adult beach). :cutie:

You can even book one of the Couples Spa Villas online!

There will almost always be additional availability once you get onboard, but I would book ahead of time for anything you really want.

I've only been on the Dream, but I know the Rainforest room is smaller on the Magic and doesn't offer a view of the ocean. It's all enclosed and there are also no hot tubs. The Dream has me spoiled so I doubt I would pay to use the spa facilities on the Magic. If I did, it would only be a day pass and not for the entire length of the cruise.

I've been on the Dream and Magic and used Rainforest Room on both. Dream is better, but Magic was still enjoyable - we did one-day passes in advance and really enjoyed our time there. Also regarding a massage, I'd get one at Serenity Bay as opposed to in the spa on the Magic. The spa is right underneath the basketball court (!!) and you can hear balls banging really loudly; not what I want to hear during a massage. (Wasn't as bothersome in the Rainforest room but it is $17 as opposed to the $100+ you shell out for a massage!)

This wasn’t explicitly answered above: As with all events booked in advance, the cost will be applied to your account once you are onboard. In the case of spa treatments, the charge should be after the treatment occurs. You will get a charge slip following your treatment, on which you can add an additional tip beyond the automatic tip if you would like.
