But looking at what the same set or card ultimately sold for will. More often than not, more than any card shop will give you.

Of course a card shop is not going to give you the exact value of the card, they need to turn around and sell it for a profit or they would go out of business. But that is neither here nor there. What a card shop will give you, doesn't determine the cards value either. You need to look that up independtly. Then you can decide on how to sell it and at what price you are willing to take.

Card shops go by Beckett...BUT you will never find a card shop in business that sells for book value.

Every card store I visit sells for under book as well.

So is Beckett true value...NO, But it is what everywhere goes off of to price thier merch so YES it is...lol
