I have a ton of kids clothes to sell. I was thinking of ebay, but the fee system seems a little confusing to me. Should I try Craigslist instead and then I do not have to worry about fees, shipping, etc.? Or is there another site I am not aware of?:confused3

I have sold a lot kids clothes recently, finally cleaned out the basement, I do think the fees are a bit excessive, but you get a larger crowd of people and you can start the price and sometimes you will be surprised what the auction amount goes up to.
You will be charged the listing fees and also a % of what you sell goes to ebay, they add it all up and then they take that amount from your paypal once a month, I like ebay better because people dont have to come to your house.

If you do decide to use craigslist, I still wouldn't have someone come to your house. We always meet in a public place.

I don't know what brands you want to sell, but I find that only my Gymbo, Janie & Jack, Crewcuts (J Crew) and boutique clothing actually sell for enough to make listing them on eBay worthwhile. I make back about 1/2 of what I pay on sale for those brands, but much of my Carters, etc does not even get views.

Good luck to you.

I agree with that. And to sell the Gymboree stuff it is best to be able to list the name of the line that it came from. I look my lines up at gymbohaven.com because it is free.

I would suggest looking for a "Just Between Friends" or other consignment sale like that in your area. I did it for the first time last fall and only had about 25-30 items I put in it because I just wasn't well prepared but every item sold and I made a lot more than I could of off a garage sale....and Craigslist can be a hassle. True I had to tag, hang and price my stuff but to sell it on ebay or craigslist either one I would have to take a picture of it etc....the work comes out about the same with a whole lot less headache using a consignment sale.
