Selling a small add on

I am thinking of selling a small add on. Does anyone know what the commission for smaller contracts are at the various resale brokers?

I think the average commission is 10-12%. I would suggest you contact some of the more reputable brokers and check with them.

When I was looking at buying a small add-on I was informed the resale fee was only 10%.

Most are around 10% but I've seen up to 12%. There's usually a minimum of around $795-1295, check with the brokers. I'd sell it myself in that situation, not difficult.

your best bet is to sell it to someone for a reasonable price yourself.............it should be easy to do..........and if Disney buys it back so be it.

Depending on the resort, I would think you could sell that rather easily on ebay or elsewhere without paying a high commission.

It seems from reading these boards that small (50 and 25 pt) contracts are quite in demand. And, Disney seems to ROFR them at higher prices than the larger contracts.

So, as a seller, I'd consider putting the contract up for sale with the stipulation that the buyer pays for the commission rather than you. Or alternatively, increase the cost per point by 11% over the going price of larger contracts to cover the commission. This may increase the odds of getting the sale past ROFR and into the hands of a DVC member, and also may get you more dollars for your contract.
