Sellers Not Signing Paperwork Question

Hi all! OP here. I have an update, and a little more confusion. Our seller did eventually sign paperwork on 2/27, but the title company did not get around to telling us until 3/3, when I sent an email asking for an update. So, that's great! Then, on 3/5 we got an email saying "Congratulations! The Disney transaction finalized today!" Which, is also great. :flower1:

The email went on to say that it takes 48 hours for the deed to be recorded, and we can expect to receive a virtual copy of the deed in 45 days. Additionally, it will take Disney 6-8 weeks to load points into our account. So, my questions are:

1. Why would it take 45 days to receive a virtual copy of our deed? Does it, in fact, take that long, or can we expect it sooner?

2. Does it really take Disney 6-8 weeks to give us our points?

We would love to be able to book BW for Food and Wine Festival and I know that there will be nothing left if it really does take Disney that long. Just curious to know if that's actually how long it take Disney to load points. I completely understand that getting points through a resale transaction takes longer than when buying direct from Disney; when we bought our GF contracts direct, we had a "welcome home" trip planned the next day after signing paperwork! :P But, it seems so far away to wait another 6-8 weeks now that our transaction has closed. Just curious for anecdotal experiences.

Thank you!

@VGCgroupie Thank you! I'll search this now. I feel like I posted in there a while back, but I can't find my post to update it. Clearly, I need more coffee. :-)

@VGCgroupie Thank you! We are really excited! We stayed at BC this week, and went to the Bellvue Lounge twice just to sort of soak in some of the BW vibes. We can't wait to book and start using our points there!
