Sellers: Get to the Notary NOW!!!!! And Overnight those Docs!!!

I completely understand if there are difficult circumstances and I am more than willing to help out however I can. I just dont like not knowing what is going on. Just Like GrnMtnMan said my money has been in the title companies hands for nearly 30 days. It is a contract that should be adhered to. If not then alternative means need to be taken. Its not personal its just business. If you as a seller cannot or don't care to complete the obligations required then you cant realistically expect to sell. At that point you have wasted the buyers time, the agents time, the title companies time, and your own time.

Disney sells owners on the idea that owning at the DVC is personal and magic. That idea is so deeply ingrained that many sellers suffer from separation depression and find it difficult to sign the papers.

I agree with Bill...even though we did sell because it is the right decision for us...it is kind of hard and sad to sign the papers lol...DVC makes you feel like you are a part of somethign really magical/special!

Count me on the list of the frustrated. Our contract passed ROFR on 12/13. We were emailed the closing docs on 12/15. We printed them, signed them, and got our cashier's check mailed out on the same day. I overnighted it and by 10am on 12/16 I had an email saying they had received my papers and funds.

Now it's 11 days later and as far as I know the other party has not even returned their documents. I am going to email again today to see but they said they would let me know when the sellers got their stuff in so I'm guessing they haven't received anything from them yet.

I just seriously don't get it. I realize life can get in the way but like other posters have said you would think that except for a few rare scenarios people would be ready.

That being said, I know others have waited longer and maybe it is the holidays holding everyone down but I just wish they would move along.
