Don't worry -- all the bugs at WDW are ANIMATRONIC!!!
Seriously, to me an "outdoor" bug that accidentally wanders in is very different from roaches living in a room. This is reality in a warm humid climate. They spray the grounds but some hearty specimens survive. My dear friend lives in Charleston, SC and folks there call outdoor roaches "palmetto bugs." Maybe this makes folks less squeamish about them? If you are concerned, pack a small can of bug spray (double-ziploc it for safety) and spray the threshold upon check-in and/or put a rolled-up towel in this same place each night before bed to create a barrier. I have only once seen a "palmetto bug" at WDW. It was on a path at what was then called "Dixie Landings," and it had definitely landed... it was dead!
