Looking for direction/ideas. My DD is 13. She loves to write and seems to have a real talent for it according to many different people including multiple college and high school teachers (too bad she still can't master fractions and decimals 
).
She has been volunteering at Give Kids the World for almost 2 years and absolutely loves working there.
A teacher put a little bug in her ear that she should put together a book of poetry (something she really excels at) and try and get it published. I don't even know if that is possible but my daughter came up with the idea of getting it published and donating the profits to GKTW.
I found some self-publishing places online that are relatively affordable but what happens after that? How does she sell / market the book? I question if this is even doable but I don't want to discourage her. Any suggestions? Am I going about this all wrong? Thanks!
