I am still checking that the plane hasnt been changed and will do till online check in 24 hours before on the 8th April.

Thanks. I have flown Virgin 6 times and never had any clue what type of plane we are on. Hate flying. Always go into a bit of a zoned out place to cope. Am trying to focus though for this year. So on the 747 configuration link (thank you), which economy seats get let off first? My primary motivation is to get off ASAP! Thanks again, this is all very helpful.

When I logged onto the seat plan they had surprisingly released the seats directly behind the PE cabin (rows 22 onwards) I think if you can book these do. Thats on the 747. If they dont release these just look at the seat map and book the nearest ones to the front. I too hate flying and have diazapam off my GP. My body is that tense by the time I get off I feel like iv done a 20 mile run. If you book the ABC side they tend to filter off quicker for some reason.. As its my DB first trip and we wanted a row on our own we are on a 3 third row from the back as going on the airbus.

Thank you, you have been so helpful :) Trust me. If I wasn't travelling with kids I would ask for medication too.

The upstairs economy section will be the first off economy wise. Well, unless you are at 25ABC, which can be the very first people off as they are at the door people are exiting. As has been said, the further to the front of economy, and particuarly the ABC side, you'll be the first ones off

has anyone had any trouble reserving the window seats 90 days out? i really dont want to sit in the middle row and i suspect the other 2 rows by the windows will be the most popular- do they go straight away on the 90 day mark or is it still fairly easy to reserve a window seat? i'll be on the september flight from manchester at 11am so it will be the smaller airbus not 747 thanks

We had no problem reserving window seats for ours in fact I think there's still some left now and we reserved them 2 months ago

If we have requested skycot/bulk head seats do we still need to reserve at 90days? We had a answer phone msg a little while ago to say our skycot had been reserved so I know it may sound like a silly question but I am still not convinced they are going to give us the skycot (dd will be 22months) we fly in Nov from Gatwick :)

I still PRE booked seats even though we requested bulk head seats. incase we didn't get the bulk head at least we would have seats together.

Excellent thank you, so what do they do just cancel your pre-booked ones when you get to the check in desk?

I guess so they never even mentioned our PRE booked seats when we checked in x

Our twins were 23 months and we had a sky cot with no problems

Just reserved our seats out for July. We are a family of 3, so reserved the middle seats towards the back of the plane. I know we will be one of the last off but we prefer to have a row to ourself. The website allowed me to reserve 2hours early, but wouldnt let me last night even though I could see the plane plan.

GUTTED. Our first time outside Europe and I've got my hopes up for a 747.

We're off MAN-MCO oct 11.15am, so I assume from PP we'll be on the smaller A330.

Come on Richard sort 747's. lol
