I've seen this mentioned a couple of times.

What is it and how do you find out pricing and such?

I know what a Segway is, just didn't know they're was a tour for it.

The segway tour is run in Epcot. It is a two hour tour that starts at 8:30 and 9:30 in the morning. You learn to ride the Segways inside then they take you out for a tour of WS before it is officially opened.

The cost is $80. I just booked this as a present for DH and DB. You can book by calling 1-407-WDW-TOUR. :jumping4:

there are discounts available for Disney Visa Card holders, DVC members, annual passholders and AAA members. Ask before you book, they can't go back and put in the discount. They'd have to cancel the transaction and do a new one to add the discount.

Be aware that these tour are not available around Christmas and New Years. The parks are open too early to be able to allow the tours. We were disappointed we would miss out on this experience.

I did it last Spring and had a complete BLAST! The CM guides were very underestanding when a group of adults between the ages of 25 to 65, had a hard time manuevering an overgrown powered reel lawnmower around corners, up inclines, and thru the bushes at the American Exhibit (i was verry baaad)! :earseek:

big, big fun.

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it!

This is a great tour! DH and I did it in October and I may book a tour agin for him for a Christams gift.

And boy was it FUN :Pinkbounc

We were there Thanksgiving week, and called WDW TOURS on a whim, to see if something was available. We ended up getting the last two slots for the week!

They offer it at 8:30 and at 9:30, and each class is limited to 10 people. It's two hours long -- an hour of instruction, and then an hour to roll around the World Showcase (with a guide leading the way). Near the end, you can pose for pictures in front of Italy, with That Big Golf Ball behind you.

The cost was $80 pp, and we got a 15% discount for being DVC members.

It was really a lot of fun, and very unusual. The Segway is easy to learn, and really rather intuitive, once you get the hang of it.

One more thing: at the end, we each got a special Segway Disney pin -- very rare, very exclusive!

If you get the chance, gopher it! :moped:

Shhhh....don't tell. I booked this for my DH and me as a Christmas present. I can't wait! I am bursting to tell him!

F.Y.I. If anyone is going to Las Vegas, I though I saw them on the strip for $3 for a 15 minute ride.

Does anyone know if there is an age/height requirement to do this tour?? This looks like so much fun...but need to make sure my son is old enough/tall enough before I mention it. Thanks!

16 is the age. Not a height restriction that I know of, but a weight restriction of 250 lbs.
