I was listening to past podcasts today, as I have been over the last week while waiting for new one to come up..

I heard Corey and Julies review of the Segway Tour in Epcot and it sounded like such a blast!!

We are headed back to the world at the end of August and I have been throwing it around to do this tour but after listening to the review, it put me over the edge..

I called and booked :thumbsup2

Cant wait! Thanks Corey and Julie!!

Im not telling DH about it til we get there and leaving it as a surprise for him.. He'll freak!

Bettyann you will love this. I have taken the World Showcase Segway tour twice and loved it both times. I have neuropathy in my feet from chemo and when I was doing the training in "Interventions" my feet were bothering me, but once we got going outside, I didn't notice them once. The tour was so much fun. I am booking the tour at Ft Wilderness for my December trip. If I could drive a Segway to work I would.

so glad to hear others who have enjoyed it too!

I would love to do the one in Fort Wilderness but decided to try this one first and if we love it we will definitely do that one on a future trip.. we have been to WDW so many times that we have decided to delve into the different tours on future trips so that we can experience some new things..

we did the "simply Segway" and it was great fun, just riding on those things! the next year we did the "round the world " segway trip. WELL worth the money!!!tooling around world showcase when it is empty. doing the slalom around the pillars in Italy!!1:cool1: can't wait to try the fort wilderness one

I booked the Segway tour at Epcot for my DH 40th Birthday and my Dads Fathers Day pressie - they are both very excited :hyper:

They didn't even know you could do the tour and were very impressed I managaed to get it all arranged :rotfl:

My father and I did the Segway around the world tour in October 2007, as previously stated it was great. We loved it. By the time the tour was over we both wanted to get one for home, lol. I hope to do it again in the future.

We did both the Epcot tour and the Fort Wilderness tour. Both were excellent, I would highly recommend either one.

We did the Around the World on a Segway tour, and we loved it too! It's such a neat way to see World Showcase. Now we want to try the Segway tour at Ft. Wilderness. :)

DW and I have done both "Around the World" and "Fort Wilderness". Epcot twice and FW once.

We loved both of them but I think we liked FW Better. Seemed like we got on the trail faster and there was tons of wildlife and beautiful views to see. We are planning to do FW again on our trip in August.

I've done the Epcot Segway tour three times. My third time was last month. I was happy to see they are using the latest generation of Segways. The handle bar is similar to a joy stick. The new version make steering much easier. I am planning on doing the FW tour in Sept.

Check to see if you qualify for any discounts. You can get a discount with an AP, AAA card, Disney Visa or by being a DVC member. I think the discounts range from 15 - 20%.

They also used to give a special pin out to those that went on the tour. Does anyone that has gone recently know if they are still doing that?

Yes, they still give you a pin. The tours that I have been on (KTTK, Backstage Magic and Backstage Safari) all give a pin that is very specific to the tour. The Backstage Safari is the cutest!

My DH did the Segway tour in Epcot in Oct 2007. He loved it, wanted to buy one. I did it in December of 2007, and it was definitely memorable. My sister did it with me, and let's just say it earned a section of its own in the scrapbook with quite the journaling box.

My husband and I did the Epcot Segway Tour in May and we were both a little nervous as we are well over 60. It was a blast. The instructors are thorough and "very kind". I was picturing myself somehow falling off and making a fool of myself. Not a problem at all. We are going to do the FW tour in September when we go back.

My sister and I went Thursday morning. We are both kind of spastic and were nervous. We had so much fun!

TIP - If you are a morning person, try the early tour. When I booked, it was "full" with adding us. We ended up with a total of four people in the tour. We had a 7:45 a.m. tour. We were the only people there other than the workers. The small tour group meant that training went faster and so our guide said we had more time for "free ride". She said we were able to ride side by side more than the bigger groups.

Now, I am looking into doing a tour when we go to Branson next year with my parents. DH is even considering it since we both thought it was so much fun.

They are still giving the pin.

My husband and I did the Fort Wilderness Segway Tour last December. We had done the one in Epcot about four years ago and loved it. The one at Fort Wilderness was much longer and there was no comparison in the Segways. These are designed for the area of the tour. I know we rode for miles.

I did the Epcot Around the World tour last year and LOVED it! This year I'm doing both the FW one and the Epcot one again - I can't wait, it's probably the thing I am looking forward to the most!

DW & I have done the Epcot tour twice. Had a blast both times.

Pixie Dust, thanks for the pic of the FW tour. That's next on our agenda!

We're hoping to do this in October. I'm having surgery on my foot next week so I have lots of motivation to keep up w/ the physical therapy.
