Segway Tour - Good idea?

I am thinking about doing the Segway tour with our family. Two adults, 3 teens. Is it as fun as it looks? Its kind of expensive, $80 per person I think, for 2 hours. I dont know much about it other than you get to Segway around Epcot before it opens. Has anyone done it? Would teenagers enjoy it? Do the reservations go quickly?

Just so you know, the teens have to be 16 and show id. It's great--we did it for my dd's 16th bday. You can get a 20% discount several ways: AAA, Disney Visa, AP, DVC. Reservations go quickly as there are only 2 classes per day, 10 in each class. Hope it works out for you! It's loads of fun....

I will let you know - we have this planned for our trip in April - it will be just my DD(16) and myself - they boys will be on a fishing excursion - we are really excited about it - there have been a few things that I have always wanted to try that DH didn't - now that DD is 16 we can do them - like the Segway and the Keys to the Kingdom tour which we are also going to do in April.....

We did the around the world on a segway tour and the backstage magic tour on our last trip. We had such fun on the segway and would do it again. We got a discount and paid $68 each for the tour. We took the tour during Christmas week and booked it the March before. The tour is great fun, especially when you get to go around the world showcase before it opens, riding over the bridges in Japan, around the little maze next to the American Adventure and through the columns in Morocco.
If you can get reservations I would do it. Have a great trip.

Absolutely! It is a blast!!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. When you call to make reservations ask about discounts available - I know there is a DVC discount, AP discount, and Disney Visa discount but I'm not sure if there are any others.

I did the segway tour and LOVED it! My girls weren't old enough to do it and were terribly jealous, so I think your teens will have a great time.

The Segway Tour is awesome! We loved it! They're really fun! We did it last year and planning to do it again this year. It's really a great experience and definitely worth the money.

Another vote for the Segway Tour!! It is a lot of fun and I came back wanting to find one. I wish it could be longer. You only get about thirty minutes of personal ride time in WS and I wish we could have longer to ride around. Will do it again.
