Segway Tour age???

I know that the official Disney page about the Segway Tour says that you must be 16 years old to take the tour.
My daughter is 15 (almost 16) and would love to do the Tour. She drives (learner's permit) but is not old enough to go on the tour....grrrr.
For the people whom have taken the tour, do they check IDs before they let you ride to determine age?

When I booked this for DH I was told to be sure he has a picture ID on him when he arrives, so I would guess that they do check.

Yes, they do check. It has to do with insurance, so it's something that Disney is quite specific about.
