seen on TV does it work

My mom purchased the Nu Wave oven, and I really loved cooking with it. I used to make the whole chickens in about an hour. And every meat I cooked in it turned out great. I would love to have one for myself now, but they're kinda expensive.

PediPaws is a highly over rated dremel tool. If you're going to spend the money, buy a dremel tool, and then you can use it for a numerous amounts of things. No matter what, it's going to take time and patience to get your dog used to cutting their nails. It definatly helps to prevent cutting the nail too short and making them bleed by shaving it down slowly. And you can make them nice and smooth and rounded with a dremel.

we love our magic bullet...we take it on vacation with us it sure saves us alot on money on what we call fufu drinks

I used the Topsy Turvey Tomato hanger this summer and it did great. I got a bunch of tomatoes.

Has anyone used the Perfect Brownie pan?

I'll be honest, I haven't totally looked into this but my concern about the toothpaste thing is that everyone is sticking their toothbrush in the same place to activate it. We try not to share washcloths, bathroom cups, toothbrushes, etc. in order to limit the transmission of sickness among our 3 kids. Maybe it's just motion activated but I thought you had to actually press something with your toothbrush?

I love the Ped Egg. Bought some Water Globes for Christmas. We'll see!!

Every time I see the kids sharing the toothpaste dispenser in the commercial I cringe. We also never share toothpaste due to germs. Its a cool Idea but it would look kind of tacky having four of those things hanging up in our bathroom :rotfl:

Bought the brownie pan at BB&B with a 20% coupon (cost 14.99) one of the best things I have ever bought! Brownies come out perfect, no mess and all the same size..run don't walk to get it!!

Smooth away did not work for me. You actually had to press really hard in circles and then your arm would hurt afterwards. :confused3

This item (or its identical predecessor with a different name) did not work thirty years ago when my mom bought some; no reason it would work now. If I recall correctly, it's very fine sandpaper? I know, that's not what they tell us, but... :)

The glue-like compound that Billy Mays used to sell definitely does work. Our central air's drain pain rusted through and developed a leak. DH decided to use this stuff just to see what would happen. It never leaked again and bought us a year without leaks until the stupid pan rusted through again at a place DH can't get to. I don't recall the name or know if anyone else might be selling it now that Billy Mays is gone.
Mighty Putty. Should be available most places that sell "as seen on TV" items - CVS, Walgreens, WalMart...

Love our Magic Bullet. Use it to make smoothies several times every day. We are on our third one. It is a powerful little engine that can overheat and burn out if you use over recommend time length. Great for scrambled eggs. Not great for chopping eggs and such...get mush. But banana, peanut butter, milk, scoop of vanilla meal drink mix, ice cubes...YUM! Or frozen berries, yougurt, milk...YUM

OxyClean...Love it!

SmoothAway NO WAY! Waste of money!

Children want that giant cupcake pan...:rotfl:

My SIL asked for a magic bullet blender for xmas, so we'll see how that works for her. I'm curious about the JackRabbit thing for using a cell phone through the car radio if anyone has tried that?

My dd 14 wanted and getting a Magic Bullet :confused3
She is also the small time baker that wanted an E Z bake oven too.

What the heck is it about the Magic bullet, They had the smaller set at BB&B with the 20% off coupon. I got her the larger set with the blender for about $60 at TJ MAX.

The putty did not work for a cup I had, smaller projects I guess it would.

Does the Bumpit work, she wants that.

The bra strap tucker I thought the straps would not be long enough to be comfortable. I tie yarn when she needs it done.

Magic jack or Vonage?

My Mom got the Pedi-Paws & uses it on her cat-works for her...but the cat is easy to work with-he likes to be vacuumed w/ the in-house vac...:confused3

Vonage is great!!! $24.99 for unlimited calling a month. You don't need long distance any more!! I have a home fax and for $9.99 a month from Vonage I get unlimited faxing!!!

loving this thread! I can chime in on Bump-its, they were in a silly Yankee Swap I do with my friends, and we opened and tried them right away. If you have thin hair, FORGET IT. It may work well on thicker hair if you fool around with it for awhile, we lost interest.

Yea! That's what I bought myself for Christmas. I'm getting exactly what I want!;)

can the brownie pan be used for cakes too not a big brownie fan but like the thought of cut cake with powdered sugar topping

I am not sure what you are referring to, but I love, love, love the Fasta Pasta. I bought it from Amazon and use it weekly!

I received the pasta thing that's shaped like a tennis ball can (a little wider) - you put your spaghetti in it, add boiling water and let it sit. Then you can open the top, drain, and serve. Didn't work for me. I was very disappointed - found it much easer to dump the pasta in a colander in the sink.

I like the idea of the pancake puff pan. I bought one and we do make ableskivers in it, but I would stronly suggest getting a Nordicware brand or one of the other brands with high ratings as my pancake puff pan has so much of that nonstick stuff scraping off.

I use it about once a month and the kids always get excited when I bring it out.

smooth away left my skin with a burn
yup....painful!!!! stay away from these things!
Also hate aqua globes- they're a PITA to refill and keep clean, and the water drains so fast...I use them for garden decor now, they're pretty but useless

I love my magic bullet as well, takes up very little space. It did take a bit for me to get the hang of using it but now we're good to go! (actually used it to crush the cookies for the oreo truffles.. thanks DIS for that recipe!)

I will say I hate vonage, had a horrible experience with them and it cost me over $200.00 to get out of my contract with them.. be very careful and read the fine print.
