seen on TV does it work

we got the Pedi-Paws last year for Christmas and I'm not sure if it works or not....we took it out and our dogs ran for the hills. They were TERRIFIED !!!:scared1: I think we would have to tranquilize our dogs to get that to work !:rotfl2:

We've had the toothpaste thing (is it called touch and brush?) since October. My kids are the only ones that use it (3 & 7). It really does seem to work. There's no mess all over the sink anymore. My 3 year old has a little trouble getting his toothbrush under there sometimes so big sister helps him out. We bought ours at Walmart for 19.99 or so. I had no interest in it, but my husband thought it would help them since they were wasting so much toothpaste. We like it!

Good to know about the tooth paste dispenser. Bed Bath and Beyond had them in the most recent mailer for $19.99 and a 20% off coupon on the back. I think it also comes with a battery powered spinning toothbrush. So for $16.00 and with the good review, I think it will be my last Christmas gift to pick up this week. May take forever to recoup the cost in lost tooth past, but if it can keep the sink clean for a couple of weeks, it will be worth it.

Pedi-Paw, pet nail grinder thing, I have a friend who has one and really likes it. I just use a battery drimmel tool on our puppy and it works fine. The trick is to get them used to the sound and give them treats while using. I give our pup a greenie, she still does not like having it done, but will deal with it for a greenie. Each time I use it she is better. I try to use it, even if I just touch each nail with it, every week or so.

I will add that the "sonic brush" that comes with the toothpaste thing is junk. My daughter was so excited about that toothbrush and it quit working after a couple of days. It was a cheap brush...which is what I expected. She was a little disappointed but just went back to using her spin brush.

I'll be honest, I haven't totally looked into this but my concern about the toothpaste thing is that everyone is sticking their toothbrush in the same place to activate it. We try not to share washcloths, bathroom cups, toothbrushes, etc. in order to limit the transmission of sickness among our 3 kids. Maybe it's just motion activated but I thought you had to actually press something with your toothbrush?

I love the Ped Egg. Bought some Water Globes for Christmas. We'll see!!

My inlaws bought the upside down growing tomato plant - it didn't work.

It seems like we have a bunch of that TV stuff! Most were gifts.

The Aquaglobes were a gift but didn't work for my plants. They would empty out in a day or two and the plant would be unhappy. It's just easier to put them in the sink for a watering. They were pretty in the sun, but not really useful.

Petipaws was not right for our dog. He's a lab so he has thick nails. The container for the nails didn't hold what it ground off and the dust went everywhere. I wouldn't recommend it for a big dog, but maybe cats and small dogs.

The Draftguard did work for our front door. It was just a pain to make sure the rug was out of the way or else it would get stuck. The dog was happy to sleep by the door again with no draft.

Miracle Blades are the one TV thing we use everyday. We got them a while back as a gift and they are still as sharp as ever. And yes, they really do cut just about anything. DH tried. ;)

The Nicer-Dicer is just ok. It chops onions really well once you figure out which way to lay the onion so the skin doesn't clog the blades. That's really the only time I use it!

ETA: eowensby - love the shirts the kids are wearing in your avitar. Did you make them?

My Magic Bullet quit working after only a few months. I loved it while it lasted, but won't buy another one. My Mom got my boys the new thick fleece type Snuggies and I can't for the life of me get them to stop shedding. I have washed them probably 20 times, and they still shed everywhere. They leave a trail of blue fleece everywhere they go, so they stay in the closet. I would not buy another of that type of Snuggie.

4.twin draft guard use all year round keeps draft out helps in the summer too

I had no LUCK with it....it fit poorly and was cheaply made. I have better luck with pantyhose filled with Rice :woohoo::rotfl:

I love my magic bullet!! Use it every day. I will say I'm on my second one. First one lasted about a 1.5 years. But, it doesn't take up much space, and blends up my veddies for my lunch shake... this way I get my servings of veggies in every day.

I use a dremel with a fine attachment on a lab/golden/chow mix and a chow. Both have horribly dense, long, Black nails and the dremel is awesome!

There is a little slot you put your toothbrush on and push back on the lever and it dispenses the paste. We bought one and took it back the next day. The dang thing kept falling off onto the floor. The suction cups would not hold.

I received the pasta thing that's shaped like a tennis ball can (a little wider) - you put your spaghetti in it, add boiling water and let it sit. Then you can open the top, drain, and serve. Didn't work for me. I was very disappointed - found it much easer to dump the pasta in a colander in the sink.

Pasta doesn't really work for us either, we tried it once following the instructions and it did work but really only made enough pasta for 2 out of the 4 people. We tried the next time to add more pasta and it came out terrible. In addition it actually takes longer to make it in this thing, you have to boil the water then it sits for about 20 mins, I can make a big pot of pasta much quicker

We got the toothpaste dispenser about a week or so ago at BBB (w/ the 20%coupon). The suction cups only work on tile not on a regular wall. There is a big sticker that comes with it to use on regular walls but I didn't want to use it because I thought it might damage the wall. So we put it on the tile. It is easy to use. The only problem I am having is now the mess is on the dispenser instead of the counter. My 3 DDs have made a mess of it! I'm not sure how they make such a mess! You really should be able to use it with minimum mess. I did figure out that it comes pretty much completely apart so I was able to pretty much clean it up. Overall, it works as advertised but kids can certainly still make a mess!

Thank you. Yes, I did make them. I have an embroidery business out of my home. I really need to update that picture it was from 2007. :) He's not a baby anymore.:sad1:

I love my Magic Bullet, I've had it for a couple of years. It's not quite as great as they make it seem, but it does work well.
Oddly enough my favorite use for it is scrambled eggs, mixes them up in about 2 seconds, without the slimy stuff the fork can't even seem to fully mix.

Agreed - GREAT for eggs! DH also loves to use it to make his breakfast shake (the chocolate powdery one you mix with milk). It isn't the best with ice tho - my frozen drinks sometimes have chunks. And sorvey had some chunks. But I deal

The glue-like compound that Billy Mays used to sell definitely does work. Our central air's drain pain rusted through and developed a leak. DH decided to use this stuff just to see what would happen. It never leaked again and bought us a year without leaks until the stupid pan rusted through again at a place DH can't get to. I don't recall the name or know if anyone else might be selling it now that Billy Mays is gone.

I bought the windshield wonder and thought it did an excellent job! My Dad was even impressed with how clean my windshield was; I will be buying him one for Christmas!
