Looking for movie suggestions, both at the cinema and for rental. DH and I like Action, Adventure and Comedy. Any thoughts?

Has anyone seen Man on Fire with Denzel Washington?

I Robot - Will Smith
Hero - Jet Li

Bourne Supremacy
Collateral

Taking Lives. Very suspensful.

I'll concur on Garden State, and add The Station Agent on DVD.

We like action too. Today we saw the Bourne Supremacy (yes, it has been out for a while - we've been busy, ok?). Lots of action and of course, Matt Damon looks just fine! The theatre had some sort of problem with the film because in the middle for about 5 minutes the screen was black but we could hear what was happening, lol. There was a fight scene we missed most of but the film came back right as Bourne strangled someone. Not sure who it was. Anyway, the theatre ended up refunding everyone's ticket because they couldn't rewind the movie. Not a bad exchange imo. I guess I'll eventually rent it to figure out who the heck he killed.

Anxiously awaiting two movies we saw trailers for today - Paparazzi and The Forgotten (made the hair on my neck stand up!).

Two comedies that I originally thought I would not care for but my sons wanted to rent, Along Came Polly and 50 First Dates were both quite good.

The Bourne Supremacy was great
Spiderman 2 was ok
Shrek 2 was not very good
Watched Timeline tonight thougt it was quite good.

Starsky and Hutch was fun, mostly for Snoop Dog as Huggy Bear

Thanks for the list. Quite a lot to chose from. We haven't seen too many movies since we lived in Italy until recently, the only ones I have seen that were listed were Shrek2 and 13 going on 30. Oh and I saw 50 First Dates on the plane. If we can find a babysitter in our new neighborhood we would like to go see Collateral and Bourne Supremecy (just rented Bourne Identity last week).

Wow, Kim, that is quite a list! I would say I haven't heard of half of them....I have a lot of catching up to do.

Can anyone recommend any good movies from the last two and a half years....I really do have a lot to catch up on!

We rented Hidalgo last night and I really enjoyed it!

Other good rentals...hmmm....as for movies from the last 2.5 years, I don't know if my memory goes back that far! How about The Count of Monte Christo ? Or was that like 5 years ago? Better go have a cup of coffee and talk to you later. LOL

Is this the movie about the US hockey team? I thought I remember someone telling me to get this so my son could watch it.

We just rented this on Saturday night. Excellent!!! I can't wait to see the sequel. And, Matt...wow! Is he easy on the eyes or WHAT?????

I enjoyed Bourne Supremacy, The Village, Shrek 2, Butterfly Effect, 50 First Dates

Along Came Polly was OK--uncomfortable humor

We rented "House of Sand and Fog" over the weekend, and both of us liked it a real lot. Be warned; it's pretty depressing and gloomy. But very good.

We also watched both "Kill Bill" movies, and liked them too. I was surprised how different in tone the two were, given that they were made at the same time. It's not for everybody, but if you liked Quentin Tarantino's other stuff, you should like these too.
