Does anyone know of a hotel database website that lists hotels offering complimentary breakfast?

I don't know about a hotel database, but for the Marriott chain of hotels, typically the Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, and SpringHill Suites offer a complimentary breakfast.

La Quintas usually do also, although it's just muffins, danish, and some fruit. The Homewood Suites hotels around WDW offer a hot breakfast for free.

Geez, that was RUDE! FLeisure, why on earth would you be so rude/sarcastic to someone asking a legitimate question? A LOT of people are looking for hotels with complimentary breakfasts.

To the OP: I don't know of a database, but there are a lot of hotels in the area that do. The ones that come to mind right off the top of my head are Hampton Inn, Embassy Suites, Residence Inn, Homewood Suites. Good luck finding one.

After posting on these boards for all these years, I'm not offended. People don't think and just say what's on their mind and that's ok. Our next trip has to be as budget minded as I can find, or we'll have to put it off for a few months. I'd rather find the bargains and go more often!

Maybe it was rude, maybe it wasn't.....just never ceases to amaze me that people expect others to feed them for nothing.

Who is the craziest? The hotels offering these deals or the consumers taking them up?

I've no problem if you're actually staying at the accommodation but to take advantage of a hotel like this just seems plain wrong to me. To those who disagree, can I come round for breakfast at your place one morning?

I don't recall the OP ever saying that they weren't actually going to stay at the hotel.

And if one perfectly good hotel offers me a free full breakfast and a comparable one doesn't, I'm going to stay at the one that does. Does that make me nuts?

Probably..... Surely you should compare what else the hotel offers in terms of facilities rather than be lulled by the offer of a free breakfast which probably isn't going to be that good? No two hotels are the same.......all have differing levels of facility and service......and that's the main reason I try not to stay in them

Embassy Suites have a GREAT breakfast (actually worth paying for). In addition to the hotels mentioned Summerfield Suites have a free continental breakfast and I think HIFS still has a free hot breakfast.

Sorry FLeisure, I think a free breakfast is a good amenity to separate similar hotels. The free breakfasts may not be be great but they are at least as good as the Golden Corral and Ponderosa buffets that people go to instead.

Well gee, it doesn't surprise me to hear you say that, since you have a link in your profile to your vacation home site. Now I know which one NOT to try when I go to Orlando next year. And as another poster pointed out, the OP didn't say anything about NOT staying at the hotel. Any reasonably intelligent person would make the assumption that he was.

To the OP: I'm glad you weren't offended, but I'm sure a newbie would be taken aback at his rude comment. And for the record, many hotels (especially Embassy Suites, as previously mentioned) have great breakfasts.

Holy cow! I never thought someone would think I was JUST trying to get a free breakfast!!! Of course we are looking to book the hotel for our stay!! We're splitting our trip with four days at the Dolphin (getting goverment rate), 3 days a DD hotel (still looking for best rates) and 3 days at an offsite hotel, for our non-Disney days. There are SOOO many hotel and travel websites, and it's time consuming to read thru the many links for amenities. I just thought there might be one travel site that had them categorized. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Comfort Inn LBV includes breakfast and has a great price using the Orlando Magicard, but I still have to research this property. Oh, and btw...we stayed at a time share property ONCE. Although it was a big and beautiful condo, never again! I am a housewife and I do not want to make beds, take out garbage, use a washing maching, dish washer, or stove or anything else domestic, while I'm on vacation! I want a daily maid and reservations for meals! But I am willing for three days to head to the lobby for a free breakfast!

Once you've been on this forum for a while you'll read about all the people attending timeshares just to get free tickets.

If a poster asks about hotels that offer a free breakfast I assume it's because he is looking for a hotel to stay. I've never done a timesharing presentation BUT it takes two to tangle. People may be attending the "informative presentation" for a free meal and free tickets BUT the timeshare promotor is trying to rip people off. They lie during the presentations (do a search in these and other forums) and even if you think it's a good deal you can purchase the same timeshare for .20 on the dollar in the resale.

For someone who is trolling these boards looking for business you are one rude dude.

BTW What about an all-inclusive resort or cruise? All the meals (and even room service) is included. Do you consider that crazy?

Some folks need to lighten up. Crikey, one flippant remark and the pack of Wolves is out. Fact is, I didn't assume, like most it seems, that the poster was actually looking for a hotel to stay in. If the poster had come on and said this was a deciding factor in where they stayed I'd have replied as I did later.

As regards all inclusive resorts and cruises they are completely different. They are marketed as such and are terrific value for money.

Interesting that you think timeshare promoters are out to rip people off and therefore they deserve the vultures they get......maybe they do, maybe they don't.....but your remark is just as insulting to the people who do buy timeshares and earn their living from it.

dlrbill-park your car in the lot walk into the room where the free breakfast is and help yourself. I have never done this myself but since i have stayed at hotels with free breakfasts and have seen how anyone can walk in and help themselves, it could be done. Especailly with your bigger hotels with alot of guests, who would know the difference unless they check room key cards.

disneyqueen, you are only hurting yourself by not checking out FLeisures homes, they are very nice and they are very accomodating.

I'd just like to add that one benefit of a hotel offering a free breakfast is the convenience & speed of getting a quick bite in the morning so you can get on our way. With a sit down restaurant it can take too much time. Sometimes all you want is a muffin & coffee or juice...how perfect when you can get it quickly as you're going through the lobby. Regardless, I'm sure everyone is aware that it's not really "free"...we're paying for it one way or the other. I just think it's a great convenience.

Maybe some people shouldn't be so quick to assume the worst when someone asks an innocent question. Ask for clarification before attacking.

I always assumed that the "free breakfast" wasn't really free, just added into the room rate, as most anemities are. Just another advertising gig to get you to stay with that hotel/motel.
