Seeing the Shuttle from WDW

We are going to be at WDW the week that the shuttle is suppose to launch in August. I believe it is scheduled to launch around 7pm. We would love to catch a glimpse of it and have read that you can see it from WDW. Any suggestions on where the best viewing point would be?

We heard the sonic booms when it re-entered on our last trip and thought that was cool , but to catch a glimpse of it would be even more of a family memory !

We were there in June and watched from MK. We stood right outside of the Astro Orbitor between Space Mountain and the Carousel of Progress. Look up over and to the right of Space Mountain. I'm sure you will see many people standing and watching. Some will have their cell phones on listening to the countdown.

We saw it in June also. We were on the monorail and they announced that it was coming up in about four minutes or something just as we pulled into the Contemporary. When we came out you could see it going up into the sky. It was pretty neat.

Saw it about 10 years ago just walking around Fort Wilderness. It is pretty awesome to behold with your own eyes.

We watched it from the porch at Crystal Palace in the MK. Awesome!

Go to the BWV/BCV resort area outside of EPCOT!

Starbox & Mike thanks for putting the pictures you took up. We heard you could see it, but thought it would just be the light and a small trail. we had no idea it would be such a good view.

The kids are definetly going to love seeing it!
