See What I Received for My Birthday! Disney Related. Photo Included.

I thought this would be interesting for all you Disney fans out there.
My husband had a local jewler custom make a Mickey necklace for me! Can you spot the Mickey Head?

The pearl you see in the photo is very special. While on our honeymoon in December, we visited Epcot on Christmas Eve. As we explored the Japan Pallion in World Showcase, I noticed a place where you can pick an oyster and watch a woman slice it open to extract the peal, (or pearls). I happened to pick an oyster that contained twins! So I have another pearl, same color and same size.

I can't believe my husband came up with this design! I love it and wear it everyday!

What a great idea! We had read about the pearl oysters in the "Best WDW secrets" thread before our January trip and DD was determined to get one. Well.... we almost forgot and had to walk half way around World Showcase again to get back to Japan. But it was worth it..... she got a beautiful LARGE silver blue pearl, almost perfectly round. She was thrilled with it. I've been holding on to it for her (she just turned 9) and when she gets a little older I would like to do something special with it for her. What a GREAT idea your husband had... a hidden mickey with special meaning! ..........................P

I should mention that the pearl in my necklace is actually silver. The lighting in the photo makes the pearl look white!

My husband did an amazing job with this gift! He came up with the star background, which is white gold, and he also chose sapphire gems for the Mickey ears. Those sapphire gems look great with the silver pearl.

My husband thought I should mention that my neck/chest wasn't used as the background in the photo!
I held my necklace against a piece of tile we had laying around.

I can't wait to wear this on our next trip to WDW! (A few years away.)
