Secrets & Little Known Facts about rides

Okay my brain has stopped. Please help me find Donald and the key. I have tried many times while on the ride and I don't see it. I know when you show me I will feel even more dumb but I am not to proud to finally ask for help. Thanks.
Look at the entire back seat of the chair, at the top is hit hat, then the Eyes on either side, with his beak pointing towards the seat cushion.

;)
I think I have a Picture of the window

OMG I must be the worst disney lover in the whole world! I think I've been to WDW 10+ times and know the layout forwards and backwards but never spent the time to ever really LOOK at anything! Thanks for all the info on this thread! When we go this time I'll actually know to slow down and LOOK! Especially that beautiful window! I tended not to go to France because I felt they were a bit :snooty: over there and always was nervous looking at merchandise I would not buy!

Just subscribed to this thread, as this is what my DD -11 has chosen as her PowerPoint Presentation/Speech for this year!!1:cool1: Thanks fellow Disers you rock:disrocks: :thanks:

Yeah - Like Frenchy said - it's kind of an "abstract" Donald! (As in, it takes a little imagination!) It's more of his Hat, Eyes & beak! There used to be 2 Chairs in the HM - One in the Library & one in the long hallway room/thingee. They do move them from time to time though!

The Key under the mat - is a key under the mat! Right as you enter the building for the Muppet's 3D Movie, turn to the right! Right by the turnstyles - you will see the sign hanging & then just look down! The key is "sewn" (for lack of a better word) into the carpet!

and even further still.....there aren't any public bathrooms in Liberty Square because they didn't have flushable toilets back in those days....(there are some in LTT, but that's beside the point)

Adding even more(although you can't see this in the picture) The shudders are slightly angled away from the windows of the buildings as if in dis-repair. In reality they are like this because in colonial times they replaced the lead hinges with leather straps because the hinges were needed for ammunition, and the leather straps would stratch out.

How about the Sheet Music in the ToT Pre-Show area - there's one in each room - this one is entitled: "What! No, Mickey Mouse?"

Holy crap! Where is it in the room? I can't wait to "wow" my family with this one! :cool1:

Love this thread!

Adding one: Jungle Ride, as you're in the queue close to where you will board the boat, there is a table with a caged tarantula spider in it. If you put your hand close to the side nearest the queue of people and move it, the spider will "run" across the cage, causing it to tip up on its side, as if from the spider's momentum as it tries to "get" you.

I've been on this ride a dozen times and never knew that till DD18 and I were waiting in line, a little boy in front of us pointed to the spider and asked his dad if it was real. And I giggled to alleviate his fears, then put my hand there and wiggled my fingers saying, "Come here, spider!" and then the cage moved. Everyone nearby jumped. LOL! You have to put your hand at just the right spot, though, so if it doesn't work at first, just try a bit. Clearly it's got a motion sensor somewhere. Have fun!

OOOH THATS BRILLIANT :thumbsup2

I will think of more but right now the one that comes to mind is there is an old well next to the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. The sign in front say Do NOT Pull Rope with the word NOT crossed out. If you pull on the rope, you will hear someone down there. :lmao: Here is a pic of DH pulling the rope and so you can get a sense of where it is.

I just read somewhere the golden camel in front of the Aladdin Magic Carpets (Adventureland MK) is controlled by someone hidden nearby and shoots unexpecting guests as they walk by. But I can't confirm that this is entirely true, does anyone else know? :confused3

(With best Bill Engvall Impersonation...)

Here's Your Sign Scoobmuzic!

Warning though - You may get some strange looks from passerby's who don't realize what you are doing - you actually have to reach over the wooden fence to grab the rope!

Yes its VERY true, also nearby are tiki heads that do the same thing. When someone good is controlling the camel its hilarious to watch people get hit on top of the head with water and look around for the person spraying them.

Thanks Indy!!

I have a pic of the sign somewhere but I couldn't find it. Apparently I take too many pictures and then I forget where I uploaded them to.

Our Illuminations cruise CM told us about the Swan & Dolphin hotels: in constructing these hotels there was a mix-up -- the dolphin figure was put on the Swan hotel and the swan figure was put on the Dolphin hotel. Apparently it was too costly to fix and they left it like that.

You've got to love Disney boat and bus drivers. Some of them are the sources for the most outrageous, and untrue, rumors there are. This supposed mix-up is an urban legend. Also don't believe any driver who tells you that the black squares on the Swan and Dolphin mark the locations where the monorail was originally designed to go through. They don't. :)

I could be wrong, but I thought that there were now similar drawings on the wall at the end of Gran Fiesta Tour.

Former CM here.

At Dinosaur in AK, if you look at the White, Yellow and Red tubes that run along the the top are of the vehicle loading area you will see the chemical formula for Mayo, Mustard and Ketchup spelled out on the appropriately colored tube.

As McDonald's was the attractions's opening sponsor, it fit.
