Secret porthole cabin 5520 photos

Great pics! We have this room booked for the 5/9/09 cruise and the room looks great! Thanks for posting them :thumbsup2

Thanks for the pics! We actually took a peek in your room (after you left of course yesterday) to see the setup and view. We have two SPRs booked for 5/09 and hadnt seen them in person yet!

There is no steamer trunk in this room but it was not an issue for us. There were lots of drawers.

Does anyone know if they have the steamer trunks in the other SPH rooms (5022/24 or 5522/24)?

The beds have 2 separate mattresses so I think when they are together to make a queen there is something under the mattresses that holds the beds together.
By the way they were very comfortable.

We had 5522 & 5524 during our 1/05 cruise and there were steamer trunks in both rooms. We definitely needed (and used) that extra storage space.

Is there a pull down bed for this room above the sofa?

Take a look at the 4th pic... you can see it there on the ceiling.

Great...we've typically booked a pair of cat 8th on the 6th floor, but the these two were available when we were booking our next cruise and it saved us quite a bit of money so we booked them.

Great pics! Thanks for posting - we are booked for our first cruise in 2009 in the SPR and can hardly wait!

Thanks!! We also have 5520 booked for back-to-backs on the Wonder in July! I almost moved up to one of the "secret verandah rooms" for the 3 n. but then decided to stay put in this room so I wouldn't have to pack up & move!

I was thinking that the porthole would be larger than that tho. I wonder if DS might just want to sleep in the pull-down bed and we can leave the sofa as a sofa?! Hummm... We WILL miss that steamer trunk tho! I put all of DS's stuff in it last time. I think 5020 and 5520 are the only 2 SPH's that don't have them. The other 4 do.

Did you have any issues with the light on outside all night that I've seen some people post about?! How about at CC - which side of the ship were you on - could you see the island from the room?

I am so excited! 5 months to go!!!:yay:

We have 5522 and 5524 in August. We will put the kids in one room even though that is not how the reservation is made. So what do I do about room
keys since we are switching rooms? I am so confused on this part. I don't want any of my kids to have charging privledges, that is one part. The other is say my DD will be going ion other room even though signed up for my room. Will she need to go through my door to get to her room or when I check in can I make these changes? The reason I did not do it right in the forst place is that there needs to be an adult signed up to each room so we put 1 adult with 1 kids and 1 adult with 2 kids. Even though it will be 2 adults 1 room and 3 kids other room.

Annie, we had no issues with the light outside. The curtains closed very tightly so we were not bothered at all.
At Castaway Cay we backed in so the beach and lagoon view was outside our window.

Annie - you are in my old room..the light (when the curtains are closed) is just enough to be a night light..you can see shadows to make it around the couch area!

no steamer trunk, but I didn't miss it either

What Catagory are the SPH rooms considered? We are going in September and I am think about asking our TA to try and lock in one of these. :cool1:
