My boss just told me about a secret passage way on Tom Sawyer's Island over in the fort section. If you are entering the fort area the farthest corner to the right if you go inside there is a secret door that you go through and the passage leads you underground and outside of the fort. Has anyone heard of this.

It is relatively long and dark, and my kids always like this the best of anything on the island. It is easy enough to find if you are looking for it or exploring thoroughly, and hidden enough for the kids to feel like it is a secret. I believe I remember that it takes you through Injun Joe's cave.

I LOVE TSI

There was a great website that had a virtual tour of it, buts not up anymore

I have been to WDW about 12 times and I've never done this!

i'll have to try it in June.

Where is the passage again?

I think this is the passage labeled "Escape Route" or maybe "Escape Tunnel" It is at the back of the fort towards the right hand side. My 11yo DD led me thru it last Wednesday. You have to cross the long bridge at the back of Tom Sawyers island to get to the fort.

If I remember correctly, the exit is near the NE corner of the fort (the far right side of the fort's interior).

It is probably the narrowist of the caves on the islands

I think a pooh sized person will fit just fine. It is cool, we always go through here.

My son found this tunnel when he was only about 4 years old. It's a short tunnel, not nearly as long as the other two.
