Secret Lime Green Club???

I'm still fairly new as you can see by my post count & join date...I'm learning that lime green is important here... ...so do people posting on Dis often use the lime green when at WDW to identify themselves? Is it in the bylaws that LG hats be purchased and worn??? What other secrets should I know about this new club to which I belong???

Yep, lime green is our symbol to each other in WDW! Do a search and you'll find alot of different things diser's wear! It'll be fun!

BTW, there is one thing that is free! It's a paint sample at Home Depot, Alien green disney paint sample. It's shaped in a Mickey Head. Alot of Dis'ers get these and do some pretty cool things with them! Some Dis'ers just wear lime green to the parks too!

I read on someone's trip report about the Home Depot paint chips -- I didn't know they were in the shape of a Mickey Head, though. NOW it makes sense to me! I kept trying to figure out why someone would want to get the alien green color in squares and soak them to peel them off. Now I get it!!!! That does sound like fun! Home Depot is about 5 minutes from home. I think I'll take DS out today for a hardware run! Thanks for the tip!

to the Disboards...maybe your husband will think you're crazy but get him involved spotting the "limeys" in the world..it's fun!.even my travel buddy (see pic) sported the lime..I got a hole puncher tied a lime green ribbon to it and attached it to his bag of junk for the kennels and one on his collar

Go to the Community Board and check out the SEcret Green club. We are pretty wild there, but are into all things green. You don't have to read the whole thread, just the first post and then follow it to the explanation post.

I have gotten the LGMHPC, but I also found a pair of Lime Green Croc flip flops and I will be wearing those in 13 days when we arrive at WDW.

STAY AWAY FROM THE LIME GREEN!!!! It is highly addictive and a very hard habit to break. Friends and family will think you are extremely wierd ! Consider yourself warned. Other than that

Thanks for the gracious welcomes, friends! This is a fun thread! There is another one on the community board katlas&kids mentioned -- it's HUGE!!! It was fun to read some of it! I'm glad to see some other newbies here (and of course the wise mouseketeers and veterans!)...I have such a pathetic post count...I better get busy!!!

MickeyT, thanks for the warning. My friends and family ALREADY think I'm weird!!! I still have to get my LGMHPC...today's the day...I'm psyching myself up. My DS10 is pumped. I haven't even mentioned this operation to DH. He will and and at me!!!

What lime green items does everyone have? When are your trips?

We're going June 9-16, 2008 (or so...not definite plans, yet). I went several times growing up, DH and I went for our long weekend honeymoon 16 years ago this month, and we went as a family for the first time June 2005. I'm so excited we finally get to go back!!!! I love making new DIS friends!! I read a trip report last night where several people met up on their trips -- how fun!!!

Please stop by this thread often so we can get to know each other!

I'm off to work out a bit before sneaking into HD with DS to snag some LGMHPCs. I'll put on my best face!! Of course, I'm always the person who looks guilty even when I'm not any place NEAR the scene of the crime so I'm quite certain pulling this one off will be impossible for me!!!!! Wish me luck!

BTW - now that we have a trip planned for next year, I can finally look at all my scrapbooking materials from our 2005 trip and finish it! It used to be so hard looking at all the fun we had, wishing I was back...

I'm SOOOO excited! (sssshhhh -- the deed is done --the LGMHPC's have been procured -- ssshhhh don't tell anyone.: )

NOW I'm ready to go!!! My sister e-mailed me last night and said "Can we go to the airport now, I don't want to miss the plane!!" (We don't leave until the 31st!!)

DS and I have successfully returned from HD with LGMHPCs in hand!!!! It is quite exciting! It was amazingly simple -- I might almost be disappointed that nobody paid any attention to our dastardly deed!!!!!

Hi everyone, I have made several trips to HD to get LGMHPC's, I just need to take the time to do something with them. I think I will have time tomorrow, I won't be going anywhere to far from home, cause it is tooooo hooooot. I also got some of those gel lights, the ones that you break and make bracelets or necklaces, they are lime green of course. I got htem at Party City for $0.99. Maybe I need to get a few more.
