Teppan Edo or Via Napoli?

I am preparing to make dining reservations for an upcoming trip, and for the most part, we will be using out table-service credits for dinner, but to mix things up, we think we'll do lunch during our EPCOT day and just have an evening at the resort. We've had Via Napoli on the proposed itinerary for weeks because we love pizza but are now thinking that Teppan Edo might make for a more memorable experience and be a better value with the dining plan. Thoughts?

Teppan Edo is definitely a better meal than Via Napoli pizza. And the interaction with the chef makes it more of an experience than just another meal. However, if you have kids who can't sit through a meal/won't listen to you it's not the best choice since they need to stay seated and there are hot cooking surfaces around.

My husband and I really enjoy Teppan Edo. We have eaten at Via Napoli and we would def pick Teppan Edo over Via Napoli.

Been to both... Once to Via Napoli and many times (probably 15+ times) to Teppan Edo. Love Teppan Edo. Via Napoli was ok.

If you are a pizza lover, Via Napoli will not disappoint. Maybe their entrees are average Italian but their pizza is excellent. With that said your reasoning is spot on, Teppan Edo will be a a more memorable experience and it is a better use of your dining credit, especially if you are just going for pizza.

We’ve only been once, two years ago, but Teppan Edo was one of the worst meals we’ve had at any Disney park. The service, including the chef, was lackluster at best. The meat and vegetables were very low quality (chewy, dry) and everything, even the sauces, were extremely bland. Our local hibachi place in small town nowhere is 100 times better.

But maybe we just hit a bad night.

Via Napoli (again we’ve only been once) was good. The pizza was delicious and the service ok.

It all depends on the chef but we went a couple times 2020-2024 and were quite disappointed both meals and decided it was off the list. After seeing some better recent reviews we tried it again in Nov and it was great. Food cooked good (except the chicken was overcooked) and chef was entertaining, we all enjoyed it and will definitely be returning. I think some things at Disney just got hit extra hard from the double whammy of Covid and then penny pinching years.
