Happy birthday to Meagan and welcome Catie!!

My life in a nutshell....

I had a family friend steal money & stuff from me almost 3 weeks ago. got most of the money, Jeff's PSP & charger back. didn't realize until past Sunday that our wedding rings are gone along with some other cheap jewerly. Looks like they are gone, gone. I am trying to track them through pawn shop by name of his gf, but 3 weeks is a bit old. they have a 10 day hold and there were no identifing engravings or anything. Just Bill's being a size 11 or 12 & my wedding band part being bent. <sigh> I am so gullible at times.

The "stealer" is going to make payments back to me to keep from going back to jail. He is on probation, not for stealing, but something domestic. He knows one miss and he is behind bars. We'll see how he does.

Otherwise we are fine. Krista is/was blowing her science, failing it both quarters. But she has pulled it up on her last project report. Jeff is doing well with his grades, but SOL testing & benchmark tests.... can't hit that passing mark. He had his SOL writing tests yesterday & today... so I'll see how that goes then see if his IEP needs modificatin to keep him from being retained for the 3rd time. In VA., the have to pass 8th grade SOL's to progress. UGH!!

At least it is warm, hovering near the 70's today. Hopefully that won't mean a broiling summer. So icky here when it is humid!

Hi, all! Funny, we are a quiet bunch lately! Last post was 3/2 and it is now 3/8. My bff from Iowa was in town this week, so we drove up to Orlando on Saturday (where she was staying) and spent Sunday at Seaworld, then Monday she and her hubby did Daytona, Tuesday we went to Clearwater aquarium and the beach, yesterday they went to Universal for the first part of the day, then headed to the airport. I miss her already, but it was great seeing them, even if she did gift me with a head cold.
Tomorrow is Meag's 14th birthday, I can't believe she is that old already! She is having a sleepover party tomorrow night with friends from school, then we'll have the grandparents for ice cream cake on Sunday afternoon. We were supposed to be going to orlando next weekend to celebrate, but my nephew's first birthday is Saturday and I am hearing that we will offend if we skip, so now we may have to shorten that trip to just Saturday evening/Sunday, we were going all day both days. oh well!

I was just looking at the art of Animation resort for July 19-26. Waiting for DS to call to say if GF will join us. I feel anxious about planning, but want to go so much. If we go, DH and I will be swinging through Boston on the way home for a convention.

I think the Art of Animation looks SO cool, I know eventually we are gonna want to check them out, but they are so far fairly pricey, and with 4 of us we don't really NEED that suite, so I haven't gotten to the place that I can justify the costs yet.

That would be the one Catie would want too, she is CRAZY for Dory! I am sure at some point I will bite the bullet and book a stay there, but hopefully I can hold her off a little while, anyway. We have been staying our way through the offsite hotels along 192 with family suites, mostly they are under $100 a night, for a queen or king bed for us and a pair of bunks for the girls, and I have become QUITE fond of driving to Disney, it is so convenient to have the car, and except for MK, you get so much closer to the main gates with the parking tram than with the busses, etc.

Hi, Michelle! I am anxious to hear what Danielle thinks of the AoA as well. Where are you staying on your two upcoming trips?? You must be SO excited!

We are going up Saturday afternoon, having a late lunch/early supper at TRex for Meag's birthday, and then spending Sunday at Animal kingdom at her request. She is super excited to be in charge of where we go, etc. since it is her birthday trip. I am not sure if we will end up at Epcot Saturday night to see the flower and garden festival or possibly over to Universal to try and catch Mardi Gras beads, I told her we could do either of those, or just spend a bit of time at DTD and then go back to the hotel for pool time, which she ADORES! Not really 100% sure where we are staying yet, debating between the Royal Parc suite hotel or possibly Worldgate Resort, or possibly just go to the AllStars for the night, anything is possible. (Allstars is about double the price of the Worldgate and is about $30 a night above the suite hotel too, though).
