Secret Green Club - whatever number thread

AoA looks so awesome. Take a lot of pictures I would have liked to stay there but couldn't justify the price. I plan on going there to check it out when I am there in August. I was shocked that a garden view for 5 at POR was cheaper :confused3 by a lot than AoA when I looked.
Hey Tara!!! Good to see you back here!
I noticed that too....because it's just the suites right now, it is $$$. Can't wait till the Mermaid section opens, as that is regular rooms.
Oh my goodness! It's Tara!!!!!!!!:cool1:
Lol...I did a double take when she first posted....
:wave2: Hi PD! I came on here to search on a specific topic, and went to read in this thread and realized that the last post I read was in June 2011. It's fair to say I skipped ahead.
:thumbsup2:laundy:
:wave2: Tara! AoA was actually the least expensive that worked for our party of 6 adults. FW cabins are too far from HS and Epcot, and MK doesn't mean much to us because it's so much like DL. I had been hoping for BCV, but it's all booked up. It would have been about $3000 more, so in my Dis math, that's $3000 for me to play around with (not really, but it would be nice)
In DIS math (which really is the ONLY kind of math that matters:rolleyes1) that $3000 will get you some nice dinners, or maybe some tours and Cirque Du Soleil tickets, or :laundy: or.....
Morning everyone... I go to the Dr today to more x-rays and finally find out how much longer I am in this boot!

I am so ready!

:hippie:
:woohoo:
Brandi - Hope you're bootless soon.
Kristi - The more the merrier! Does Catie know we're school teachers? Kids tend to avoid us in the summer:teacher:
Yeah, but you guys are the COOL teachers that everyone hoped to get each year!
Danielle, that wouldn't stop Catie, she LOVES school! :rotfl:
That's Martina...she is always playing school too. Her teacher gave her a bunch of old workbooks and stuff to play with, and she was :cloud9:
Well that was the best birthday present ever... I have been given the boot from the Dr. So the Dr, said I have to wear the boot for another week only during commuting and wear a tennis shoe after that, then the following week I am just in a tennis shoe.

Whoop Whoop!
:cool1: that is awesome!!!! Next comes the fun of trying to walk normally now.:lmao:
Yes, I am very happy and looking forward to being out of the boot....

It has almost become part of me which is just not right...

Yeah, I thought I had mine for a long time, but yours was much longer:hug:

I promise I was not trying to win that game!

I am so glad it is coming off, and I know it will take a while to walk correctly!

Yeah...let's hope that neither one of us has to play that game again.
There IS one other big plus to the boot coming off...instantly losing about 5lbs. :teeth:

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I think we have found our lodging for Catie's birthday trip, over Memorial Day weekend. We are booking with an owner of a townhouse (through VRBO) in Regal Palms. It is a little bit further away than most of the hotels we have tried thus far (about 8 miles away) but we get 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths and use of the resort facilities, to include their 2 acre waterpark with lazy river and water slides, 2 pools, zero entry beach, 2 hot tubs, etc. They have a restaurant onsite, and a pool bar with pool boys to bring drinks (should I be frightened that the pool boys are the #1 selling point for Meagan??), and they have a spa, with actually reasonable pricing, I can get a mani/pedi with hot stone massage for $60, Rick can get a 1 hour massage for $70. I don't know if we will use the spa, but I like having the option there, and we actually might, they have a "mini mani/pedi" for kids 14 and under for $35, so we might work that into the birthday weekend. We're really excited about it, and it is only $70 a night!!!

Mary, I meant to ask, we saw a posting from Brandon that you guys are going to be in the world at the end of April?? We have been talking about driving up in that time frame, maybe meet with Michelle, would love to get together when you are here. Let me know

Thanks! It is one of the crazy things; I never realized how much I was overpaying at Disney for a room! I definitely DO want to stay at some of the other resorts, but I figure that will have to wait for an exceptional deal, cause with the annual passes it is so much easier to stay offsite, and since I found out that I like to drive at Disney, it no longer appeals for the busses anymore. I do like the being immersed in the disney stuff, though.

I like the I Drive area too, Brandi. Where are you staying? Are you here with a conference again?

I totally understand. AT DL, we have stayed onsite twice in 30 years. When we go to WDW, though, we always have to go at the busiest time of year, and it's a one-shot deal, plus our adult kids are on a different schedule from us, so it makes it worth the $$$ to stay onsite with transportation and a better shot at getting into the parks.

Danielle, absolutely, having the car right there/being locals makes it such a different experience, much as DL is for you, I'm sure. If/when we come to DL, we would LOVE to stay onsite, though we would likely still rent a car.

Yay finally in the single digits for trip #1

this is a picture from senior night for Hockey taken in early March .. My DD is the manager of the team (and the senior)
