Welcome back, Brandi! Sounds like a great break!
Glad you had a good trip, Brandi. You and DH deserved it.
We are heading south for some vitamin D (D for Disneyland, of course) tomorrow morning. We're spending one night in Santa Barbara, then Wed. through Sat. in Anaheim. On Friday night, 2 of my sisters, their DHs, 1 brother, his GF, both of our kids, and DD's GF will show up. Sat. is my 50th b-day, and we're all going to DL and CA, with dinner at the Wine Country trattoria in CA. Can't hardly wait!![]()

Danielle, that sounds like a wonderful birthday celebration. Hope you have a great time!
Sounds like Rick's truck is finally going to make it here, my inlaws are now leaving Omaha tomorrow, so should be here either Thursday or Friday, and then they are staying for about a month, and I think at this point going back with my parents in March. They refuse to fly so insisted on driving down, and my parents will be driving their car back (they have houses here and there) so they can put the house up there on the market. We are very excited about having the truck here, but we're also very excited to have my inlaws here to visit, and I am glad that it sounds like they are going to stay for awhile! We're trying to convince them that they can winter with us next year, but it took us until now to get them on their way here this year. Hopefully they will love it so much they will want to come back.
Congrats, that's wonderful! We'll have to try and coordinate a meet during one of those!
Congrats, that is great...
Hugs to you! Hope he is feeling better soon!Sorry I've been MIA hope everyone is well, I was missing partly because I've been busy at work (dont' have a home computer) and also because my DS who is 15 and plays HS Ice Hockey was injured on Wed in a game.. He has a fractured clavicle (collarbone) and a seperated AC joint. No more sports for 6-8 weeks and he gets to wear a sling for at least 2 weeks! We have been eating at home I hope to get back on Monday and post for the week.. Happy Friday everyone..
LOL Piglets Mommy if only I could..
Glad your inlaws made it. Sorry to hear about your uncle.Hi, Danielle, glad to hear you had a good time! It is always nice to be home in your own space again.
We are happy to say that my inlaws made it here yesterday @ 12:30pm. They are staying at least this week and next with my parents, as they have 2 extra bedrooms, so plenty of room. It is so nice having both vehicles here, but I am really thrilled to have my inlaws here, to be able to show them all the things we love about Florida. I have already suggested that now that they know what the drive is, they should plan to come back next year in like October or November, and stay till spring; avoid winter entirely. They are both retired, so really no real reason they couldn't do that, especially since they could stay with us or with my folks the entire time. Yesterday we spent the time with them and my folks at my mom's house, today my inlaws are coming to our house for supper, it will be the first time for them to see our house here, so I am excited about that. In sadder news, my aunt Doris (dad's brother's wife) died this weekend, she had cancer, I think stomach, and was on hospice at the end, so not unexpected but still very sad. They were married 49 years, and was always just the 2 of them, no kids. Needless to say, my uncle is devastated. My parents were driving to TN for the funeral, they left this morning and will be returning Wednesday. Rick couldn't get off work right now, plus he's never met that uncle or Doris, I think I only met her 2 or 3 times, though saw my uncle more than that. So we are staying here, sending our prayers with my folks.
