Secret Green Club - whatever number thread

That sounds awesome! I am having a hard time finding something like that here. Like you said, for HS, there are some, but not so much for Middle School. I feel that the smaller classes and more individualised attention they give EVERYONE, he will do much better, and may not need some of the things in his 504. Plus, he isn't getting any OT time anyway, and the other things in his 504 are just extra time to do the work, the ability to take a test in a smaller setting, etc.

The best part about his high school was the program itself. The teachers that ran it actually had an informal education plan for each of the students in the program. They met with each student's teacher about the needs for each student seperatly-- once a month. You can't ask for better attention than that. They want their students to succeed in life and it doesn't hurt that it makes it desirable for other students to attend. Good luck.

Thanks! We need it!

Happy Good Friday!
Happy Earth Day!
Happy Friday!!!

Older sister & Younger sister are ok---- unless PD and Nsalz are the ones hitting on them.
My ds is such a stud......I told him I posted that comment and he goes "oooo what do they look like?" I told him it didn't matter because they were someone's mommy. :lmao:

Like Heather said Happy Earth Day, Happy Friday, and especially Happy Good Friday. The Easter Bunny woke up early today in our house and started organizing baskets. :thumbsup2

Sorry T couldn't see ur pics, but ur not fooling me I know u are trying to up ur posts. :rotfl:

As of right now B is single again. There is a misunderstanding between him and the gf and she says she needs a break. He's upset about it, but she won't talk to him. GASP she changed her FB status so it must be official. Poor guy apparently ALL his friends and family read FB. He's embarrassed that people keep mentioning it. So what's a guy to do.......... apparently meet new girls at his school's Block party today. :rotfl:

Her so called bf keeps getting in between them. She told B's gf that B wants to go out with her. This isn't the first time she has done that to them. B has no interest in the bf, but if the gf doesn't know him by now. Ahhh to be young again. I was considering bringing the gf to Disney since she's never been, good thing we didn't ask her.

I try to talk to my kids about the dangers of making everything about your life so public. As the union pres, Brian has to deal with young teachers posting about their questionable behavior (e.g. smuggling booze onto public transportation). I think it will come back to bite this generation on the :eeyore:.
Good thing we can use code to keep us looking like :angel::angel:.

Private school is a tough call. Both of our kids went to Catholic school for jr. high and high school. High school was definitely worth it. Jr. high was a good thing for DS, but not for DD. I know you can't change the past, but I do think of the trips we could have taken with that money. And our class sizes are smaller at the public schools than at the Catholic schools. So there you go.

We have today off for spring break (and next week, too). I'm using today as a sick day (still in my jammies, watching DVR'ed shows from the week). I have the stomach flu, but dragged through yesterday, because having a sub for our Easter egg hunt just doesn't work. Thank God the janitor is opening the school for teachers next week. I left at 4:30 yesterday without stuff ready for when the kids come back, because I could barely keep my head up. I'll probably go in Wed. and Thurs.

I don't remember driving home yesterday, just that I pulled off my pants and shoes, put on sweats, and slept for 13 hours. I hope I was home when I took my clothes off.

Danielle hope u feel better. Really hope u didn't flash the neighbors, but they might be used to it with the hot tub and all. :rolleyes1

B doesn't actually put too much on FB. My nieces however are another story. I finally stopped saying stuff to them, not I just jump into their posts if I think they have gone too far. Sometimes Zoe :dogdance: jumps in too.

I hope you feel better, Danielle! I also hope you were home before you took your clothes off!

The class sizes at the Catholic schools here are much smaller, that's a big part of the appeal to me. Have even looked at some other Christian schools with entire school sizes of under 50. I think that might be TOO small.

I was doing one of those stupid question parties on FB today, and it asked me if Zoe would run into a burning building to save someone. I thought she definitely would!

Danielle I hope your feeling better :goodvibes You are such a wonderful person to drag yourself in to make sure the kids have their easter egg hunt. You are right there is no way a sub could pull it off..

Mary Anthony is so excited about seeing B..

I'm excited about see you :teeth:

Wonder what entertainment John will provide for us this trip :rolleyes1

She would probably attack the hoses thinking they are alive. She's a bit goofy ok a lot goofy, but then I guess she wouldn't belong to me.

T is so right. You are a keeper Danielle.

I told B & J yesterday about the hotel, they were excited. I'm not sure how much entertainment J will be. I've been putting the fear of GOD into him and my mom about being on their best behaviors. I'm gonna make them memorize "There is no fighting in Disney!"

I'd say the same, but since Catie doesn't know yet, I think maybe better wait and have Mary tell them when we get there!
