Well we had school then guitar lessons then big lots, grabbed a pizza on the way to have our skates sharpened then to hockey and finally home at 9:30

But tomorrow we have a half a day..

It was beautiful here today. It was 74 today, supposed to hit 80 tomorrow. Then back to low 60's. The last two weeks we had 14 days in a row of windy rain. The kind where you open the door and it's like someone aimed the hose at you because the rain is blowing straight into the house. Let's hope we're done with that.

Yeah, but aren't you getting snow for April Fools' day?

Well we had school then guitar lessons then big lots, grabbed a pizza on the way to have our skates sharpened then to hockey and finally home at 9:30

But tomorrow we have a half a day..

Our 1/2 day is Friday and all next week is Spring break. And I have 2 days out of 5 planned for the kids...<sigh> Anyone wnat to watch them for me so they aren't home alone, staring at the TV or their DS/PSP's?

We get the warm weather on Monday & Tuesday, of course! Bleah!

I love trying new recipes but this one was a little different for me.....


Pieter Vanden Hogen, chef at Oregon's Pelican Pub & Brewery, uses the brewery's award-winning Tsunami Stout for his version of tiramisu.

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Chill: 8 hours
Ingredients

* 1 (8 oz.) container mascarpone cheese
* 3/4 cup heavy cream
* 1/4 cup Kahlúa
* 1 (7 oz.) package Italian-style crunchy ladyfingers (savoiardi)
* 1 1/2 cups Pelican Tsunami Stout beer (or other non-hoppy stout beer)
* 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Preparation

1. Line a 5- by 9-in. loaf pan with plastic wrap, leaving at least a 1-in. overhang on all sides. Combine mascarpone, cream, and Kahlúa and beat on low speed, then medium, until mixture is thick enough to spread (do not overbeat).

2. Set 1 ladyfinger cookie vertically against a long edge of loaf pan and trim it flush with rim of pan. Use it as a guide to trim 12 more cookies, reserving trimmed ends. Soak 1 ladyfinger at a time in beer, about 1 second per side; then arrange in rows along the long sides of pan, picket fence–style. Arrange 4 ladyfingers lengthwise on bottom of pan.

3. Spoon half the mascarpone mixture over bottom layer of ladyfingers and smooth evenly. Top with another layer of soaked ladyfingers (using reserved trimmed ends first), then top with remaining mascarpone mixture, smoothing evenly. Sift cocoa over top of cream. Wrap beeramisu and chill at least 8 hours and up to 24.

4. To serve, use plastic wrap to lift cake out of the loaf pan. Unwrap and slice crosswise. Dust each slice with additional cocoa, if you like.

Guess who just paid off their Disney trip today?!?!?!


It's me, It's me!!!! Still not 100% but it's about 90-95 range. I'm gonna be ticked if we can't. Still have to find some one to watch the dog. I'd like my nieces to do it, but my bro always does it. He would have to drive them over, but the dog is absolutely crazy about them. B is hoping they will do it for his fish too. Crazy cat will be ok, he won't allow anyone to watch him.

Yikes on all the crazy weather out there. It's been chilly here too. It's nice sleeping weather. Tomorrow B is reffing a soccer tournament. He wants me to go because he's not sure where it is so I will be at a soccer tournament reading my nook all day. Have to be there at 8 & it will be over about 5. He's getting paid good for it.
