We are going to Disneyland in July and then WDW early Nov. this will be my first time for Food&wine and I am so excited!!!

Crossing my fingers for Free Dining for you!

Julia graduated from SJSU in Dec., but just went through the end of the year ceremony. She starts in the teaching credential program in two weeks.

Brian and I have a DL trip planned for mid-July, followed by a Carnival cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada. I was looking at an excursion in Ensenada to Papas and Beer, only to read Yelp reviews that they sometimes knockout drug their customers who complain about their bait and switch tactics. Guess we'll pass on that one.

You know Corina? From the AKL boards? She did an excursion in Ensenada, to a vineyard, and posted all about it, it sounded like lots of fun...

I am over the moon excited. What a year....40 has been good to me!

LizzYSwan graduated college a couple weeks ago! Tinkerbelle graduates from High School next Saturday!

David and I are great... Still losing weight. I am down 32 and david is down 46

So very proud of both of you! I can't get the scales to move. So we get to check the thyroid again next week! Blah! And with the hair loss and a few other signs....

Thanks! We may have to postpone again as I am going into job hunt mode. Scary thing is I'm not even sure what my marketable skills are or should I go back to school in my mid 50's? I had always wanted to do massage therapy.... but the cost of that & then with the economy the way it is...? And I wanted to be a sign interperter for the deaf in the school setting, but things are starting to ache!

Any thoughts on what is out there that will help me suport the kids & keep the house?

So how did the Dr appt go? I can tell you that I had to cut out a lot of the things I love to get the scale to move. But the real difference came with exercise.

Job hunt... I think I might be there soon. My contract is coming to a close. I really thought that would extend it, but what they really did was decide that I did such a good job, that they don't need me any more.

It's been quite a long time since I've been able to get on the Dis and read or make any posts. There has been ALOT happening in the past year. Job injuries (resulting in ruptured spleen and surgery), change of jobs, family stuff.

Don't want to bore anyone with the long details, but wanted to share some happy news. We're going to WDW in early October. We're going to be celebrating the adoption of our foster child. Which will be official sometime in late September. Can't give you all the details until it's official, but we are excited!!

Good luck on the job search! It's not easy starting a new career....and you're right...the economy doesn't help. You are in my prayers.

Good to hear from you, Mr. O. Sorry about the injuries, but so happy for you and Mrs. O on the adoption. I have friends who have gone through foster adopt twice, and they are over the moon happy. Praying for great joy for you and your growing family.

I always think girls because I have 3! Pirates and cars work!!! I've done a few adoptions for families adopting their foster children! Such happy proceedings! I grin through the whole thing!

I can't believe how fast " our girls" have grown up!!!

Martina had her first dance last night..."Dancing in Paris" each kid got to bring a special adult.

Chris had his 7th grade Luau last night as well.

They all grow up so fast!

They do! Krista will be 14 on Sunday & Chip, the oldest, turned 30 on 6/12. Of course I am NOT that old yet!!

Hope all are doing well. I thought I had marked who asked about the doc appointment but I didn't. Seems my hypothyroid is at 17.5 on a med so it is time for a change. Praying it isn't to expensive! My weight is up & my hair is thinning, so maybe this will help both of those areas!

Praying for good news regarding your job and your health. Thanks! Heard from Walmart today. Orientation starts Thursday afternoon, so I got the job! Pray I can keep it as my mind is so stressed, it is hard to remember things. but so glad I will be able to work 40 hours or less a week than 55+. Walmart said they would work around my Y schedule so that sounds good!

Our house is FULL. LOL We've got me, Kim, soon to be son, 2 dogs, 2 cats. All in a small 3 bedroom house (3rd bedroom is computer room) If we had a bigger house, we would probably consider another child.

We've become huge advocates of Louisiana's foster care program. I tell everyone I can: if you've got the time, patience, free space in your home, and free space in your heart, give fostering a chance You'll change 2 lives: the child's and your own............. OH... our dogs and cats are adopted too. We saved the from all from animal shelters, but don't tell them... they think their human.

Just downloaded DISboards app . Now maybe i will be able to get on more like I used to. Starting to plan next trip ( have been semi-planning it for 2 years to take dd back at least 1 more time before she is out of high school ) and finding will have to make a lot of changes to plans from past trips as I will now not only have 14 yr old dd but a 5 mth old as well.
