Brandi has hubbies? That is an issue! One is all I can take

No Disney trips in our near future, but we will wave to DL as we pass it on the way to San Diego in a couple of weeks. Really praying for good weather.

Hey, At least I posted! You know spelling has never been high in my typing!

the kids really want to do DW this year. I'm just not sure my goer & my stayer & I will be able to handle it! Kris is like her dad, needing time in the room to do her thing, while Jeff & I can go & go! Anyone wnat to go when I can? Looking at the end of Aug., during non busy, before school & hopefully free dining to help with cost. Want to add Sea World & Busch if we go. So much to think about!

I don't even want to know how long it's been since I've been on here How is everyone?

No one has been on a lot in a while! Been a busy month for us starting Dec 21 with Chip's surgery on his leg & hip to put it in a new position, Dec 22 my brother's FIL died, Dec 24th Chip came home from Hospital, Dec 27 my dad had emergency brain surgery. Had had more falls than he admitted to us and had bruised his brain along with having to have 6 -7 areas of dried blood & fresh blood removed. He is now in a "convelescent home" working on gaining strength. Mom has dementia & she has been "home alone" since then. My brothers & I have been doing lots of road work between the two. Never knew hearing a 77 year old woman saying "I'm a big girl! I can stay by myself, (do it myself, get it myself, drive myself) could be so funny & so scarey at the same moment!

It has been like having 2 toddlers again, though my dad has stopped traveling in his mind as much now that the bruising is clearing up. Now the other fun part starts cause he wants us to "free him" from the nursing home so he can take care of mom, when he can't really walk or take care of himself yet. <sigh>

All this along with follow up checks for Chip in Richmond (1 1/2 hours away) battleing school for Jeff, raising the kids from a distance (what fun that will be to try to get them back in line when this is over!) and who knows what else.

Wow has it really been that long...

Lets see, my foot is all healed up, I have lost 21 pounds since surgery, since I am not able to exercise without pain, I have been jogging, eating right and feel better all the time. Knock on wood I have been very healthy this year.

David is been doing much better, he loves, I mean really loves his new job, being laid off was hard, and he went through some depression, but he has so much less stress with this new job, his commute is 15 minutes each way, and he has so much freedom, he really enjoys it. Being Laid off turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

My Dad feel and broke his shoulder, totally reconstructed, 8 weeks of imobility, but he is in PT right now and the Dr is very pleased with his progress, said something like, better than he ever expected.

My step mom, had both knees replaced, painful long and hard recovery but she is up and moving around better than she has in years.

My Aunt with Cancer had a relapse, they went in and took half of her liver, but she is responding very well and improving everyday.

kids are all good, doing good in school, and living life to it fullest.

We are very blessed.

we have no WDW plans this year.

But we are planning on going to WDW next year for Food and Wine.

I would to do a resort only trip this year if I can get away but we already have this 2 week trip to Caribbean and three week trip to Spain this fall, so I am not sure i can get away anymore.

I think you guys can plan some stay and go time. I know you guys would have a wonderful time.

We just got home yesterday from our Dream cruise! We had an amazing time.... Something for everyone. Now I am going through withdrawals cause I don't have anyone to bring me food or leave chocolates on my bed.

We just got home yesterday from our Dream cruise! We had an amazing time.... Something for everyone. Now I am going through withdrawals cause I don't have anyone to bring me food or leave chocolates on my bed.

That withdrawal is brutal, isn't it?

Life is pretty good here. Both kids have graduated from college, and are working. One is working with kids in an afterschool program, and the other is a caregiver for people with severe disabilities. At work, Brian is having a rough time because he's our union prez, and we are in the midst of ugly contract negotiations. He doesn't usually look forward to vacation like I do, but I think he's ready to get away this time.

Life is pretty good here. Both kids have graduated from college, and are working. One is working with kids in an afterschool program, and the other is a caregiver for people with severe disabilities. At work, Brian is having a rough time because he's our union prez, and we are in the midst of ugly contract negotiations. He doesn't usually look forward to vacation like I do, but I think he's ready to get away this time.

I would guess that a union president, would not be a fun job!

I don't think I would want that job either. I work in a very political environment, and I hate it...

Glad the kids are both doing well. It has to be an amazing feeling, knowing you have raised kind, independent adults!!

I am on the DIS pre-planning the next trip to combat the withdrawl!

Yep...It just makes me want to plan the next one! I just noticed your trip report in your siggie...off the read that to combat the post-cruise blahs!!!
