Second thoughts

I'm recently having second thoughts. Our family has the CSR booked for eight nights in NOVEMBER, and I am now wondering if the POLY may be worth the upgrade. I have received excellent info and many positive points from BUZZ on the benefits of the CSR compared to all the other moderates. But in comparison to the POLY ( minus the monorail benefit) how does the CSR do all around in comparison vs the POLY ?

The water park alone at the CSR looks awesom, but how does it stack up against the waterpark at the poly?

There are so many questions that I'm having second thoughts about, I don't know the right choice anymore.

TIA

Water parks at the resorts? Not sure what you mean by this... I know that the BC/YC has SAB, their amazing pool, and thats supposed to be the best pool on property.... but I wouldn't call it a waterpark.. :confused3

sorry, I meant the jaguar slide at the CSR looks awesome. Not sure what type of things POLY has. Mostly concerned with, should I have booked POLY?

Having never stayed at the Poly (yet), I cannot comment on the resort. I can tell you this though...we stayed at CSR for the 1st time this past November and thought that it was fantastic! We actually tried to book there again for our Honeymoon and were bummed out when we found out they had no availability for our dates. I am sure you will have a great trip no matter what you decide! Happy planning :flower:

We stayed at the Poly in Aug 2003!! We loved it!!!!! THe pool was small but the volcano slide was great!!!!! The slide is inside the volcano and my Kids(DD13, now 15 and DS 9, now 11) LOVED it!!! We were there everyday!!!! We would go back to the poly any day except we want to stay at every resort!!  :Pinkbounc

We've stayed at both, and we now prefer CBR. Nothing against the Poly, it was fine. But we personally liked the theming at CBR better, the rooms were very spacious, the grounds were gorgeous, and it was very quiet. I think that resorts with outside corridors are quieter than those with inside corridors, since the inside corridors just echo and amplify every sound. Many consider the pool at the Poly to be better than the one at CBR, and if you have kids and the pool is a big deal to you, this would be a consideration. We spend most of our time at the parks, so the pool isn't so important to us. The Poly does have the advantage of the monorail, but we found CBR's buses to be very efficient - I don't think we ever waited more than ten minutes for a bus. Considering how much more the Poly costs than CBR, we feel the CBR is a better deal. Everyone has a different opinion, and you'll have a great time wherever you stay.

Hi Jaysmom:

What section of the CBR do you like the rooms in, have friends going down and would like to advise them.

thanks,

Deb.

cottontail - we didn't want to pay extra for a preferred room so we requested Jamaica. We were in building 45, second floor facing the lagoon. It was a very short and pleasant walk to Old Port Royale, and the quiet pool and bus stop were also handy. An added advantage was that we could see Illuminations and Wishes fireworks from the outside walkway.
