I just wonder if Cape May is worth going to for supper?

I have heard a lot of less than stellar comments on this place, and it has me wondering if I should book elsewhere?

We ate there in April and everything was great. My husband did have a bit of the seafood and thought it was good, I am not as much of a seafood eater and found plenty of great food. The ribs were awesome, I love potato salad and I thought theirs was great. We enjoyed the flank steak and several other things as well. The chocolate lava cake was delightful!

We ate there in March and it was one of our favorites. The crablegs are fresh steamed and the ribs were delish! I also remember a fried white fish (maybe cod) that was really good. The salad area was great and really fresh with lots of fruit.

My aunt meets us there every time we go to Disney. She lives local and it is one of her favs.

We have 3 restaurants that we eat at every trip. Cape May for dinner is one of them. (Although I think part of the reason the kids like to eat there is that we always take the boat from HS!) The food is really good and we have always had great service!

We ate there in June and it was one of our pleasant suprises. It was very good, they added crab legs to the buffet. Would definitly recommed going there

We tried Cape May a year ago after being resistant to it for years. When you are from New England, it seems a little nutty to go to a New England style clambake in Florida. ;) But we tried it and really ended up enjoying it quite a bit and we have ADRs there for our next trip in October.

Does the menu sound appealing to you?

If so, go and try it. You will find positves and negatives of every WDW restaurant on these boards. And the old saying is true, "one man's trash is another man's treasure".

A few of my favorite restaurants get horrible reviews all the time and if I would have listened to them then I would have missed out on some great food and wonderful atmospheres.

:)

We went there for dinner two years ago and really liked it. A great buffet - and the best mojitos we had that whole trip!

Glad to hear such great reviews...I am thinking of booking this one for our next trip.

We leave on September 17 for the world...can't wait! We have this booked for our trip too...I was a little undecided because of the reviews I have read also....I feel reassured after reading all your wonderful comments!! Thanks!:rotfl:

Just ate there a few days ago. Thursday night, actually. It's been a few years since my last trip there, and it was still pretty good.

The crab legs were not the topmost quality, but decent snow crab legs with good flavor. The only item on the buffet I tried but would stay away from is a mashed potato dish with some basil pesto mixed in. It overpowered the potatoes. The oil slick from the pesto didn't help.

Would I go again? Yes.
