We get 10/12% off cost of Disney in the form of free gas. Giant eagle grocery store offers .10/.20 off gallon of gas up to 30 gallons per every $50 gift card.

Gift cards have never given us a problem. We charge everything to the room and pay it down with the cards.

Don't forget about stacking your pharmacy rewards with your red card( apparently some targets this still works), almost 10% off that way. Last time we went I saved over $500 doing that alone, rooms tickets and expenses! Just bought a $1000 of go today for our trip in Nov and was able to save $100!!!
And where possible, I whole heartily agree with previous posters, I charge everything to room and pay off every 2-3 days

Anyone know the discount at Bjs for the disney gift cards & what denominations they sell them in?

I buy $100 gift cards at bj,s for $95.95. They also have $50, $25, and a 3 pack of $50. I don't remember the prices of those, just that the $100 were the best deal.

Hi-I am also from NY(long island) (tax is definitely insane!!) I don't belong to BJS, but often buy various gift cards at Costco & have never been taxed on the gift cards. I didn't think they could tax you on a gift card purchase-are there different rules in the city? If they do charge you tax then you're right it certainly would negate any savings you get by purchasing them there.

No you don't get taxed on a gc purchase. You will however be taxed on the merchandise you purchase with the gc. So no, you don't lose any money.

I know the Costco's here used to. I haven't been a member in a few years so don't know if they still do.

The Sam's Club here has the 3 pk of $50 cards for $143. About a 4.7% discount. Slightly worse than Target BUT I can use my discover card at Sam's for another 1% cash back.
