SeaWorld Orlando's Sharks Deep Dive

Has anyone done this? I'm looking into it because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE sharks! Any information would be great.

R you a certified diver? If so, I prefer DiveQuest at Disney, where you SCUBA in the Living Seas tank....there are sharks there too.

The SW "deep dive" is in my opinion, anything but. You ride in a shark cage along a track, standing in the cage just beneath the water's surface. If not a diver maybe the best you can do, but as a diver I loved DiveQuest.

Anyone else know anything about Sea World's Sharks Dive Deep? My DD12 is a HUGE shark freak! Kind of scary really. Her great grandmother gave us $ to do something extra special for each of our kids, and DD12 is getting to do this. She is beyond excited. Just wondering if anyone can give any details.

The shark experience is about as good as it gets without being a diver. I used to dive but for medical reasons no longer can. Took DW to the dive and we both had a great time. Not as good as being in the wild with these awesome animals but truly enjoyable and an adventure that a non diver will truly love and remember especially a child and it might lead them to pursue a dive certification.

I am a diver as well and my fiance is not. We both did this last May and it was incredible. The water is a little cold, even with the wetsuits (around 72 degrees I think), but the experience is well worth it. I have done Disney's DiveQuest as well, and I can't really compare them...they are different. I prefer the diving without limitations like DiveQuest, but being in a shark cage when you get 4 or 5 12-15 ft sharks swimming by you and staring at you is certainly an amazing experience. We cannot wait to go back and do it again!
