Would my boys 3 and 5 enjoy Seaworld or should we just stick to Disney this trip? They would probably get tired of the shows after one.......what's in the kid section?

My boys 2,2 and 4 love Sea World. They are still asking to go back and we went in Nov. There is plenty for them to do. The shows are very fun. You may be surprised that they will watch more then one. Mine did. But they love the disney shows too. There are plenty of places to just watch the animals both above and under water. There is a huge walk through aquarium. Really neat. We didn't use the Shamu's Happy Harbor because itis a water play area and it was chily the day we went but I do know there was a carosel that we rode on. With cute fish and stuff. You can also do a dinner there called dine with Shamu. Or shampoo as one of my 2 yr olds calls him. ANd that was very neat. The food not so great but shamu was right there. I recommend it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

My 4yr old liked the rides in the kids section. He really liked Jazzy Jellies, where you spin yourself and go up and down. There is a small rollercoaster that is just right for beginers.Another ride moves you back and forth in an arc while rotating. He had to ride that one with his sister who got a little woozy. Not him though. One ride was closed,it looked like it took you straight up and droped and raised you fast. They rode one like it at Navy Pier and liked it.Also a very large climbing area.Lots of netting. My 9yr old could do it but it was a little much for my son at 4.

It was a nice break for them from the show schedule.

Try renting "Free Willy" for them beforehand to stir up interest.

My kids (age 3 and 6) are huge fans of that movie, and are convinced that Shamu is Willy. They had a blast -- we went two days and they would've gone back another two if they could've. The Clyde and Seamore pirate show was a big hit; Shamu shows were obviously the main attraction, and they also loved feeding dolphins and petting stingrays and going through the shark exhibition -- and that's before we even got to the kids area with the little rides ...

Tip 1: bring bathing suits.
Tip 2: don't go to the kids' area until the afternoon, otherwise you'll never get them out of there!!

My niece is older than your kids, but SeaWorld had the same impact on her that it does on me. There's just no way to capture what it's like to see Shamu in Believe, plus we fed/pet the stingrays and dolphins.

Also, we did the Polar Expedition tour and there were about 10 small kids on the tour. They took us behind the scenes to see juvenile seals, polar bears, beluga whales and then we were able to pet a penguin. The small kids on the tour seemed to love it.

we have a ds5 and a ds3. They LOVE Sea World! They sit through all of the shows, and sometimes we'll just spend the day in Shamu's Happy Harbor. There are more than just water things, as a PP mentioned. At this age, they prefer SW to Disney- it keeps them occupied for longer.

I think that is the perfect age. I went to the Sea World that used to be in Ohio before I had children and I can't wait to see the one in Orlando when we take this trip. My DD's are turning 5 and 3 this month and I'm sure they will love it too. We have season passes to our local zoo and aquarium and the really enjoy going to both. Sea World will be similar but new and exciting too because they have never seen real live dolphins or whales before. I know they will love to watch the animals doing "tricks" they really enjoy the bird show at our zoo so it should be neat to see different animals doing tricks.

My kids, 11 and 5 and 5 LOVED SW this past Jan.

They had never been before, just Disney every year. They LOVED it!!!

It was the highlight of their trip, at the time even more so than Disney I think:laughing:

There are just so many neat things to see and do , and all kids, esp. your kid's ages, love seeing sharks and dolphins and they have great rides for little ones and lot of fun.

They'd love it:goodvibes

I think those who've been recently with young kids have been more persuasive than I can be, but just let me add another vote for taking them to SeaWorld.

As I like to quip,
I think that Walt will never do
A wonder greater than Shamu!
