I honestly think Seattle is as much about Instagram moments as anything else.

Yes in today's society those Istagram moments can drive social change as much as the great speeches of yesteryear.

Birkenstock Team of Capitol Hill

It isn't just the Capitol Hill crowd that wears Birkenstocks up here. It is the footwear of choice in the Pacific Northwest. Preferably they are worn with socks and shorts.

Our local insurance company made a commercial mocking the look....

I wonder what is the footwear of choice for BCLA? I always wear Birkenstocks. Arizonas size 44. Maybe he/she does too? We could hit the Redwood Creek Challenge Trails at Disneyland/California adventure in our Birkenstocks. I'll post it on Instagram.

I was trying to come up with a specific acronym. I grew up near Berkeley, so Birkenstocks popped in my head as something that might just fit into the acronym.

As for socks and sandals, there was that series of Miller Lite referee commercials.

He tweets to dominate news media coverage, and that part of it has been fairly successful -- in terms of volume. But much of his base doesn't use Twitter, and many of those who do are impressed negatively, rather than positively.

Tweeting served him well for a couple of years, but the quality of it these days is not helping him.

Whatever I find cheap. I like Nike, Reebok. Sometimes Five Ten, although I'm not a climber. Despite growing up near Berkeley, I've never owned/worn Birkenstocks in my life. I'll wear sandals out of the house though, but usually sliders. My wife tells me I've got nice looking toes.

As for Redwood Challenge Trail - my 9 YO didn't want to do it. We'll go do real hiking, but there wasn't much appeal there for my kid. I think I did it back in 2002. Not even sure why.
