I honestly think Seattle is as much about Instagram moments as anything else.
Yes in today's society those Istagram moments can drive social change as much as the great speeches of yesteryear.

Sure, but that may not be why @bcla chose the word Birkenstock...LOL.It isn't just the Capitol Hill crowd that wears Birkenstocks up here. It is the footwear of choice in the Pacific Northwest. Preferably they are worn with socks and shorts.

They can create crowds, but I don't recall any actual change they have been responsible for. It's mostly posing, IMHO.

He tweets to dominate news media coverage, and that part of it has been fairly successful -- in terms of volume. But much of his base doesn't use Twitter, and many of those who do are impressed negatively, rather than positively. The Tweeter in Chief is sure using the medium to push his agenda. Sometimes successfully. Sometimes not. Like him or not no denying his tweeting generates tons of debate.
Yeah -- it wasn't a SHOE thing, LOL!I was trying to come up with a specific acronym. I grew up near Berkeley, so Birkenstocks popped in my head as something that might just fit into the acronym.
I wonder what is the footwear of choice for BCLA? I always wear Birkenstocks. Arizonas size 44. Maybe he/she does too? We could hit the Redwood Creek Challenge Trails at Disneyland/California adventure in our Birkenstocks. I'll post it on Instagram.
As for Redwood Challenge Trail - my 9 YO didn't want to do it. We'll go do real hiking, but there wasn't much appeal there for my kid. I think I did it back in 2002. Not even sure why.
Well if you are interested we will be at the Challenge Trail August 26-29 wearing shorts, socks, and Birkenstocks.
Don't spell it out for her. Make her work!Maybe in my Five Tens. Just look for the black marks everywhere.
You did get what "BIrkenstock Team of Capitol Hill" spells out, right?
That was fake newsI find it quite ironic the first thing these hypocrites do with their “new” county is put up a barrier and check IDs to come in.
Looks like Fox was busted for faking pictures of the protest zone....

From the article....
Fox News published digitally altered and misleading photos on stories about Seattle’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in what photojournalism experts called a clear violation of ethical standards for news organizations.
That's just bonkers if it stands correct.
