Okay, now if you are following, you know we've never flown before. Another reason I like Delta's flight is because you are allowed to pick your seats, but which seats to pick? I needed help so relied on some of my co-workers/friends. They told me to get seats in front of the wing so that we could see better. They said sitting on the wing or behind; we'd have the wing in our view. Is that right? Anyone have any input on this? Let me see if I can do a diagram of the plane so you all can see where we'll seated...

We are in Row 8 - all 3 seats across - baby will be on lap. We have the same seats going & coming.

Are those okay? Should I opt for anything different?

You can check this site for seat info.

Also, if you are flying Delta, make sure you keep checking your reservation. They have an ugly habit of changing flights and seats without telling you.

This is soooo true...we have had our flights changed twice, and they only notified us the 1st time. Keep checking your itinerary and make sure everything is the same.

Definitely keep checking. USAir's changed our seats twice and never notified us.

If you are somewhat physically fit and are not travelling with children, I'd recommend the exit rows by the wings. This adds some responsibility to you if something happens (which what are the chances of that???), but usually there is more leg room so is a little more comfortable.

The seats on the plane to avoid are the ones near the snakes!

Seriously, it doesn't make that big a difference. You've got three seats across and that's the main thing. The exit rows are nice, but you often can pick them, and your family can't get them in any case because of the child.

Have a great flight!

Thanks everyone. I meant to include an image of the plane on my OP.

I got that from seatguru.
