Is it possible for a party of 8 to get good seating at the CR?

I am hoping the answer is YES to this! I am trying so hard to convince hubby to agree to CR. He isnt a big seafood fan as it is, but I am! He probably would have agreed had he not read so many bad reviews about the quality of the food for the $$, and he insists there is no way we would get to sit by the tank or even close it it due to our party size. Urgh!!!

I don't know that there is a "bad" seat anywhere in the Coral Reef. The seating is tiered so that all seats have a view. I, personally, wouldn't like being seated right next to the aquarium window. I think you can see more when you are seated back further in the restaurant.

The food at the Coral Reef was absolutely delicious when we went in June, 2007 and we have ADR's for June, 2008. There are many other things he can eat besides seafood. I had the steak and it was so yummy

You would not sit next to glass, but could sit just across aisle from it. Also the restaurant is stadium seating so everyone can see the tanks. Sitting next to it actually restricts what you can see, and being farther back is a better view.

As far as food, I had steak and DS pork chop. Both excellent. No need to eat fish. We had great food and service. It is pricey but if it is somewhere I always wanted to eat, I would try once.

My biggest complaint, was the noise level. The large number of unruly kids were very loud and not being well supervised. Other than that, it is a cool place.

THANK YOU!!

I will be sure to show my husband these posts when he gets home from work!

Noise isn't a big issue for us, its a bummer hearing about unruly kids though. We have 6 and we teach them from the time they are toddlers how to behave in restaurants and we have no problems with them at all.

DH is a huge steak lover so its good to know he has things other than seafood to choose from.

Is there a menu available to take a peek at online by any chance?

I know that there are menus on the Disboards but I always check the ones at www.allearsnet.com. Click on Dining and scroll down to Menus. Click on Menus and you'll find menus for each and every Disney restaurant.
