Seating at Buffets?

Couldn’t easily find an answer to this. I swear I’ve seen somewhere that you choose your own table at buffets but I’m doubting myself. Do they seat you or do you choose your own table?

Considering splitting our reservation into two parties to get a better meal time. For reference, eating at H&V.

They seat you. At Biergarten, you could be seated with other parties. At other places, you'll have a table (or tables) for just your group.

No- they will seat your party at all sit down restaurants. No problem if you split your ADR. Try to get the reservations as close in time as possible. Ask at the podium if you can be seated together. They will do their best to do so!

Awesome, thanks to you both! That definitely answers my question.

This is my first time doing a “larger” group so it’s challenging to find one reservation at a decent time.
