Seasonal Pass Blackout is ending 3 weeks early!

We just received a card from WDW, saying that we can start using our FL resident Seasonal Passes again as of July 30 (instead of August 19)! It also gives a FL Passholder code for the Value Resorts, starting at $69.

Just thought I'd give a heads up to my fellow SP holders.

Isn't that cool news...wish I would have known sooner but great for everyone who can use them over those next few weeks!

I would like to say yes that you should be able to purchase them now and use them now. When I spoke to the CM on the phone yesterday she said that there were no blackouts on the season APs now until December, so....sounds like you can buy em now

I just went through all my mail from the last two weeks and had nothing from Disney telling me my pass would be good on the 30th. Maybe I haven't recieved it yet! Now I'm gonna have to call and find out. I did get something offering rooms at the value resorts starting at $49 per night. Even I'm thinking about staying up there for a long weekend instead of my usual day trip.

Deweysgirl, you can purchase the SP anytime you wish and use it anytime that a blackout isn't in effect. The present blackout is supposed to last until Aug. 19th. The pass is valid for one year from the date of first use, not date of purchase.

I just received mine yesterday, so you might get one in the next day or two.

DH and are scrambling to coordinate our days off, so that we can take advantage of this!

Nice, but I am also wondering why.

I am now seeing a lot of discounts in August and up until now in my view from many years experience the discounts have been fewer. I think busy has been very good but it may be dropping off in late summer. Good for all of us with a pass at least.

Good for you Fla. passholders - but, I scheduled my end of summer vacation because the Southern schools are back in session and the Fla. passholders couldn't swarm the parks until August 19th. Based on past experience, I'm anticipating parks to be more crowded now on weekends with Fla. Passholders able to enter. Oh well, just have to plan accordingly.

Last night, before I went to bed, I remembered that I had left yesterday's mail in my car. Sure enough the card from Disney was in my sunvisor! Now I'm stoked! Thanks for the heads up moinab .

My wife spoke to MS yesterday and they said you can validate and use the new SP during this time. From the way the MS lady talked it was to kinda jump start the ESPN weekend at MGM. We'll be there now.
