Hello All!
I just planned a last minute DL trip for Nov 14-17. I haven't seen the Holiday decorations since 2009 and can't wait! I didn't do a lot of research early and just realized it was the Avengers marathon Weekend and I've been seeing Season of the Force starting Nov 16th. Can anyone tell me exactly what Season of the Force is? And how much impact will the Marathon have?
Thanks!
Jana

Here's the Disney Parks blog post on Seasons of the Force: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...16-at-disneyland-park-in-southern-california/

I'm most excited for Hyperspace Mountain! And I bet everyone else is, too... so, maybe prepare for extra crowds.

The half marathon weekend will affect the parks in that you'll see a lot of people wearing race shirts, medals, and running shoes around the parks. :) I don't know that the race weekends really add a whole lot of extra crowding... maybe a bit, but not, like, crazy amounts of crowding? Some of the runners literally just come to run the races and don't even spend much time in the parks. I think the real impact will come from the Star Wars stuff. But the good news for you is that Seasons of the Force doesn't start until you've already been there for a few days! Hope you have a great trip!

Race weekends are crowded. One of the ways to get into the races is to buy a travel package that includes hotel and tickets.

We did the Avenger's runs last year and are doing them again this year. It was pretty crowded in the park and we're expecting it to be even more so this time around. There will be many runners staying an extra day to stick around for Season of the Force also, we will be. With the increased crowds for 60th already, plus the first weekend of Christmas decorations, plus the runs, plus Season of the Force, we're thinking it will be pretty crowded. But still really fun!

Just wanted to be prepared! Luckily my kids are all out of strollers now and pretty seasoned at navigating the parks. Will have a blast either way! and...they're all dressing as star wars characters for Halloween so they should be pretty excited for SOTF!
