Sears Tower opens ‘Ledge’ to thrill seekers Glass platform suspended from 103rd floor

Woot, woot!! Sign me up!! I love heights. I higher I am, the happier I am.

Just watching the Video makes me want to cry

Yes! LOL! Ad they panned over the floor of the glass room thingee, I said OUTLOUD "No! NO!"

The last time I went up, they had this ridiculous (God, I hope they got rid of it) video and sound presentation acting as if the elevator was going to either bust through the roof, or plummet to the ground...with *warning, warning, warning* alarm sounds. I cant remember, all I know was that I kept saying "THIS IS NOT FUNNY!!!"

I stood at the inside of the observation deck, and never wandered towards the windows.

It's funny as you get older, different things scare you. I used to want to sky dive. I wish I had done it when I wanted to, because now I would rather have my toenails ripped off with pliers, than skydive.

You know, a few years ago I got offered a really GOOD job, in the city, in Sears Tower. More money, better position - just a great job. Two things stopped me - one being, I was pretty happy where I was. Two being - it was waaaaaaay up in the Sears Tower. I can't even believe I got through the interview without crying.

And what is dejr_8 doing on MSNBC again?!?! :sad2: :rolleyes1

Yikes! That does look pretty cool... although I'm not sure if I'd do it or not. I've been up to the the skydeck on the Sears Tower before and I wasn't afraid looking out the window. I was up the Empire St. Building in NYC, leaned up and it didn't bother me. I might just have to try this out someday.
