DH and I saw this tonight too. It is a wonderful movie. Great acting and very interesting presentation all the way through. Can't think of anything wrong with it at all. Can't wait to go see it again.

Hi Everyone,

Diane, the previews are right on, imho.

I suspect this film will receive some nominations for the camera work involved in filming the racing scenes. You felt like you were right there riding with the jockey.

It is a long movie and the first half hour or so sets up the plot for the rest of the movie.

I'm really torn on whether or not I want to see this movie or wait for dvd release.

I read and loved the book and I know there is no way the movie can do the book justice - there's just too much involved in the book.
I don't want to be disappointed

I'm going to read the book before I head out to the movies on this one. Everyone is talking about both being awesome but for me, the book is always better.

Just got done with the book and can't recommend it highly enough. It truly is an inspiring story about American spirit and serendipity. Irregardless of whether you like horses, see the movie or don't really care to read....this is a MUST read! I could barely put it down.

Went to see PotC this afternoon. We usually wait a few weeks for the crowds to die down. Seabiscuit will be our next choice though.

Great movie! I plan to read the book now. I try to read the books after I see the movies. Movies can never live up to the details that are in books, so if I reverse it I do tend to be disappointed.

I took myself to see it this afternoon. No babysitter, so dh and I did a baby switch! LOL!
