I am thinking about doing Sea World for a day when I'm in town for Star Wars Celebration to try something new. WDW/Universal is going to be insane with it being Easter Weekend, so that plays a role. The biggest thing that is preventing me from doing it are things that I can't get hyped for is that it's all Thrill rides. Dark Rides are the biggest factor for me in going to a Theme Park. What would you suggest for someone who isn't a big Thrill Ride person to do there? My second favorite theme park is Animal Kingdom, so I enjoy animal exhibits a lot.

Sea World is the best park in all of Orlando IMHO for those who are not into thrill rides. They have some great coasters, but what SeaWorld really specializes in are shows and animal attractions (and those are wonderful!). On our next trip to SeaWorld my cousin, me, my nephew (who isn't doing coasters for the moment due to some back issues) and my son are doing SeaWorld for a day. The only one who will be doing any of the thrill rides will be my son (ok -- I will do one ride on the Manta too.). My son and I are doing three different parks on a mini Orlando stay and asked my cousin and nephew who live in Tampa and Orlando respecitively if they would like to join us one day. They said yes and both picked SeaWorld because it is such a great day and not ride based.

We love all the Orlando parks, but FYI for both me and my son, SeaWorld happens to be our favorite too. From what you are saying, I would strongly encourage you to try it out.

Plan your day around the shows (pick a time to do the Dolphin, Orca, and Sea Lion show and do the animal exhibits nearby in between. Also (but not just have the Orca show lets out, check out the Wild Artic. That one has a simulation ride if you do those. If those make you to Dizzy, they have the movie by itself and after that, you go to the wild artic area. The Penguin encounter that has a ride is not really a thrill ride and you should be fine with that.

Then you will find plenty of exhibits and shows at Sea World to keep you occupied.

In addition to the shows mentioned above, I really enjoy Pets Ahoy, an amusing show with dogs, cats, birds, and other assorted domestic pets.

We are not thrill ride people and love SW! We see the animal exhibits and shows. There is a penguin ride and if you choose mild it is as slow as the dark rides at Disney. There is a spinning version as well. There is a restaurant that reminds me of CR at Epcot called Sharks Underwater Grill that we have a dinner there every trip and you can make a reservation online about 2-3 months before.

Seaworld is great for all, thrill seekers or not. Yes, there are many coasters there but I don't even pay attention to them as I have small children. We do all the animal shows and animal interactions. Plus some fun rides. The new penguin ride is fun and not too "thrill seeker" but it is in the dark so you might want to look that one up online. Bonus: you can choose mild or wild for that ride so it might be fine for you. Also, Dine With Shamu is a great restaurant you might want to try. If you love animals, Seaworld is a no brainer!

We are heading there in November and want to know how long it will take to get through most of the park without doing the thrill rides we have a 4 year old grandson not tall enough for the roller-coasters. Are the crowds heaving thanksgiving week? We go the 21st.

We do not do coasters and we like going to Sea World. We wander the exhibits and usually see three of the shows. We are dog lovers so Pets Ahoy is a must. Then it is the Orca show and either the Sea Lion or Dolphin show. With careful planning and a quick dash between shows we are usually done by 1pm after a rope drop start.

If you enjoy AK then you will definitely like Sea World.

^^This^^ :thumbsup2.

The incredible shows, the beautiful animal exhibits, the aquariums, the feeding stations....for non-thrill riders, SeaWorld is "the" park to visit.

Just came back from Sea World San Diego.... got in at 11:30am and just went to all the shows. By 5:15pm.... announcement came on saying the park is closing. Wished I had more time for rides.
