There's only 9 days left and as usual I've left everything until the last minute. Trouble is I get so wrapped up with work that one minute there's 50 days to go and the next I'm in single digits.

Questions

Is the Mummy a good enough reason for doing Universal when it's really the only reason we'd be going?

Busch Gardens back stage tours - do you really need to book in advance?

Jiko or Boma?

1 - The Mummy is fantastic & if you have hopper passes for USF/IOA then def' nip over to USF from IOA but if that really is the only reason you would be there then dont make a special trip. If it was broken or something like that you would be gutted and have wasted pecious holiday time

2 - Sorry, no idea as never done it

3 - Sorry, no idea as never been to either

HAVE A GREAT TIME!

the mummys definatly worth it

The tour at busch was booked out when we last went

1. No idea!

2. No idea! (Sorry)

3. What sort of meal do you fancy?? We preferred Boma to Jiko by far but the food was fantastic at both. If you are after a more intimate experience go to Jiko. If you want a huge selection of food in a more casual atmosphere chose Boma. The reason we preferred Boma was because we received dreadful service at Jiko (the kitchen and the wait staff did not seem to talek to each other on four separate occasions ;) ) but I'm sure we were just unlucky.

Oh and how did I miss this?

Have a brilliant trip!!!!

  Woohoo !! I'll single digit boogie with ya

Have a fab trip, the mummy ride is brilliant :thumbsup2

Thanks Miffy.

I think we may try Jiko. We usually have at least one romantic meal while we are there and i don't think the budget will stretch to V&A this time.

Jury's still out on the Mummy. DH really wants to do it but I'm not so sure it will be worth it.

If you are looking for romance then I definitely agree Jiko would beat Boma hands down. The food was superb and the setting really lovely!

  I'll have a banana boogie with you!!!

Visiting a park just for one ride? I would say no.

However, as big Universal fans and AP holders, there are lots of attractions at this park to suit all tastes.

Shrek for example has to be the best 3d (it's actually 4d!) ride going, and there are many more great rides too.

As much as we love the rides at Universal, most of them we can live without for one trip and as this our second blow out holiday of the year I'm looking for ways to cut a few corners without spoiling the overall effect. Hence it would be just one ride that drew us there. It's the only major ride we've not experienced countless other times. DH is eager to try it, I'm thinking of the $$$

ok - I would definitely say that there is no park that is worth paying out extra $ for just one ride.
It's just a non starter for me.

if it was universal in holywood would say do it just for the mummy the florida one is ok but not as good
